Despite the fact that my arm was killing me, I just kept running from the moans and groaning coming from a few feet away from me. I slowed down now, I dyed, simple as that. I nearly slammed into a wall as I rounded the corner and spun around, lodging a few bullets in their skulls and watching them slump to the ground quickly. It’s like they were just being programmed to do this, until someone hits their core. Then they just die, like that. No resistance, just pull the trigger and watch them fall like wood when you chop down a tree. I didn’t care, I just kept shooting. It took me a few seconds to realize one of them had grabbed me and my hand was headed straight for their mouth. I fumbled around for my knife and slashed its head off, watching it roll away and fall to the floor with a thud. I felt the sticky warm blood dot my face and I shook my head and slowly backed away. I thought I be used to this by now, killing these things. But they just got worse..
“Come and get me you slow bastards!” I heard Sky yell. The infected slowly turned around and started shambling towards the sounds of the gunshots firing off, and I panicked and ran to a door, not even listening to Trillian running towards me and opened the door and shut it behind me. I tried to catch my breath, slowly backing away from the door. I felt something grab me from behind and I felt teeth connect with my shoulder. A blazing pain shot through my shoulder and I let out a scream. I whipped around and smacked it away, opening the door and dashing out, running past Trillian and following Ruby to the hideout.
Trillian) As soon as I heard him yell I didn’t even think about it I just stopped and boosted through the door and I was coming around the corner where Eefa was so I stopped and tried to run after her, but she went into a different building. After I got that taken care of I followed the infected and cut them all down to where you could only see their heart and I found nothing. So I went back to the hideout and Ruby noticed that I was about to lose it but I just sat down and didn’t do anything. But when I heard knocks on the door that sounded like infected but when I pulled out my sword all that I heard was, “Trillian It’s me let me in.” At that point I dropped my sword and opened the door and the voice I heard wasn’t a lie it was true Sky had made his way back to the hideout and he said after that was, “Hey can you get me a glass of water and I started laughing and then I said “Sure” and got him a glass of water and then slapped him on the back and he almost fell off then I remembered that I was infected so I immediately said sorry as I was scratching my head and said “I guess I forgot and that gave him a little laugh and the girls laughed too. After all of that we all went to sleep and went to gather supplies together as a group so that that wouldn’t happen again.
