Harper's Pov

"Harry get your lazy butt out of bed!" I pounded on his bedroom door. His Grandma insisted that I come in and yell at him, so of course I took that opportunity.

I watched as he slowly opened his bedroom door, greeting me with a lovely glare. "I thought we agreed on meeting at eleven." His voice was deep and raspy and I found his morning voice very attractive; along with his hair that currently looked like a rats nest.

"Harry it's eleven forty-five." I pointed to his alarm clock on his bedside table.

His eyes widened, "I swear I didn't mean to." He suddenly became more aware.

"Just get a shirt on and let's go," I laughed.

"Pick me out one...I don't wanna go through the stress." He flopped down on the bed dramatically and crawled back under the covers.

I rolled my eyes with a smile still on my face...he always manages to make me smile no matter what. "What about this one?" I pulled a white T-shirt out of his closet and smirked. "That's literally all you have in this so called closet of yours."

"I have other ones," I watched him move slowly from his bed to his closet. "Like this one." He pointed to a bright, lime green tank tucked all the way in the back.

"Well that's good if you wanna blind somebody." I teased as he shot another glare at me, "It's fine it'll look good on you." I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head on his chest, still smiling. He placed his chin on the top of my head, and we stood just like that for a while.

"Harper you're making me late for what seems like a very important date." He tried his best at an American accent, which sucked but it was cute, I only chuckled.

I let go of him and he went to the bathroom to change. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed, I looked all around his room. It was sort of bare but there were pictures here and there of his Mom and Dad; along with some of his sister. I opened his windows on each side of his bed, letting some light in. Then being the OCD person I am, I decided to make his bed up for him.

Harry soon came back in wearing his bright and blinding shirt with a pair of black jogging shorts. "Wow you tucked the sheets in and everything? How sweet." He showed his dimples and grinned a cheesy grin.

"You look good in green." I stated what I was thinking, also ignoring what he had said earlier.

He smirked flexing his muscles, "I know."

"You were actually supposed to say thank you." I rolled my eyes laughing, "When will I get to meet this gorgeous sister of yours?" I pointed to the picture I was looking at of her sitting on his lap.

I watched as his smirk turned into a huge smile, making him look quite happy. "The last time we talked she said she was gonna come in for our graduation and stay for a while." He grabbed his phone from the stand and we both walked out of his room.

"Well I can't wait to meet her," I grabbed his hand after he said goodbye to his Gran and we both headed out of the door.

"So where are we going to today, my little tour guide?" His cheeky little smile spread from ear to ear.

"Hm...now it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, would it?" I raised an eyebrow.

He grunted, "Just to let you know...I hate surprises."

"You'll love this one." I seemed satisfied with my answer. Swinging our hands back and forth, beginning to skip.

I started to not give a single care of what people thought about me. Harry brings out the inner me, the person I'm supposed to me. I like the feeling of being free and being myself.

1 hour later

"You're the worst tour guide ever." He slapped my shoulder.

"I didn't know that it was just around the block from your home. I thought you just had to take the long way around." I stated innocently, giving him puppy eyes. But I enjoyed messing with him and getting to talk longer.

"Well we're here..." I smiled real huge at the bright, neon sign above me.

"Harper, this is an animal shelter." He looked even more confused than the beginning.

"We're gonna adopt!" I squealed like a child.

His face lit up, "Oh my gosh I am so excited!" I watched him jump around in a little circle before opening the door that held all sorts of animals behind it.

"So what do we want to get?" I clung to Harry's side looking at all of the animals behind bars.

"Well back home, I was always a cat kind of guy..." He started to say, but got distracted and turned to his right. "But this little guy has changed my mind." He bent down towards what looked like a Yorkshire Terrier, and I had to say it was quite adorable.

It was tan with little specks of brown on the body, and his ears flopped down in his face rather than the usual Yorkie ears. He looked around three pounds, and had a long fluffy tan tail. He looked along the lines of a miniature, cuddly, soft cloud.

"This cute little thing was dropped off this morning, the owners don't want it and can't find a home for him." A tall, dark haired man stood in one of the cages cleaning it up. I assumed he worked here.

"How old is he?" I piped up, while letting the puppy lick my fingers.

"He's almost three months, needs a lot of training and is part Yorkshire Terrior and part Shih Tzu. He'll be a cutie once he's fully grown up." He informed me.

"Does he have any problems?" Harry asked, then the puppy began to bark, getting excited that someone was giving it attention.

"None at all, healthy as a horse!" The guy came closer and unlocked the dog's cage. He picked the teeny puppy up and handed it to Harry.

"My name's Chad. If you're interested, I'll be in the back filling out some of my paperwork." He then walked off to a dull, gray door in the back, on the left.

"What do you think?" I bit my lip, obviously a smile grew on my lips.

"I love him." I watched Harry stroke the puppy gently, his eyes locked on the fur ball.

I realized then that it was gonna be such a wonderful experience for the both of us. Excited was an understatement. "Now to come up with a name." I laughed, stroking the dog. "That'll be hard."

Harry's face turned a crimson red, "Well...ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to name a dog Nilla. Like the vanilla wafer cookies." He chuckled, "It's stupid, I know, but I love it."

"It's adorable!" I grinned, letting out a little giggle at how cute it sounded coming from Harry himself.

"Then it's settled!" I didn't think that Harry could get even more excited but he did, he could barely talk. I couldn't wait to take Nilla home.

"Nilla, you've got a Mummy and Daddy now!" Harry grinned from ear to ear, his face beaming as little creases formed around his eyes. His lips formed perfectly into a smile, laughing at the puppy who was currently licking Harry's neck.

I loved everything about him.
