4. Shopping

"Ready" I say in a whisper. "Let's go then" says Austin with a little anger in his voice and without removing his eyes from his phone screen. "Wait, do you have your wallet?" "Shit" I hear him murmur under his breath. "I almost forgot". He jogs back towards his dresser and grabs his black leather wallet. I walked towards the kitchen counter and grabbed my phone and the house keys. I heard Austin open the front door and I walked right behind him and locked the door. We made our way to this black van looking car, it had dark tinted windows so you couldn't really see anything inside of it. I opened the door and got in the back of the car, the back seat had 3 spaces. I wasn't sure if Austin was gonna sit next to me since he's still kind of angry about what happened earlier, but to my surprise he followed right behind me but he left a space in between us. my heart dropped I could understand why he was still upset. At the same time I didn't feel bad because I am only 15 years old and so is he, but he has to understand that I can't do something I don't want to do. "Uh I'm new here so I don't really know any supermarkets, can you just take us to one that you go to or something" says Austin "Of course Mr.Mahone" says the man, his voice was really deep, it actually kinda scared me. He had crystal clear blue eyes and a small beard that looked that he had trimmed a couple of days earlier. With that he started the car and began to drive away.

I felt some tension between Austin and me so I just looked out of my window. I realized that many people weren't in the streets, I'm guessing it's because it's only noon and people are still home. I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt some cold hands on my thighs, I gasped in surprise and turned my head in Austins direction. He was sitting in the middle now filling the space that was once between us. We didn't say anything we just looked at each other, he was looking deeply into my caramel eyes, then he moved his hand from my thigh and leaned in and whispered in my ear "I'm sorry baby, I know that I shouldn't have gotten mad at you for what happened earlier" a smirk appeared on his face, he quickly wiped it off and began to speak again "I know how uncomfortable that makes you and for some odd reason you don't want to tell me". I didn't say anything I was kind of in shock that he apologized this fast, usually he apologizes hours after something happens. I spaced off and looked deeply into his hazel green eyes, I saw a smile appear on his face, I smiled back at him. I loved his smile, even though he had braces i thought his smile was beautiful. My smile never faded; i continued to look at him "What" he asks as his eyebrows fur together and he chuckles, "Nothing" i say as i move my head from side to side. "So do you forgive me?" he asks a little more serious this time, i stayed quiet and stared at him "Please?", he leaned in and pecked my lips "please?" he pecked my lips again. He continued to do so a couple more times, the only reason why i didn't respond was because i wanted him to feel a little more guilty and besides i wanted to feel his soft lips on mine."Alright, Alright i forgive you" i say chuckling. His eyes lit up and a smile appeared on his face, he grabbed me tightly by my waist and brought me closer to him, i felt his breathing on my neck, his body hovered over mine. He began to lean in when we hear "We're her Mr.Mahone" Austin kind of growled in annoyance and said "Thanks Carlos." so that's his name Carlos.

I escaped Austin's grip and opened the car door and told Carlo's that it wasn't necessary for him to get out of the car and open the door for us "We'll be back in an hour and a half or so, if you want you can have a break or something i don't know" says Austin with a smile on his face. A huge smile appeared on Carlos's "Thank you, i will". I'm guessing he didn't get many breaks, i tried to look at his features for the few seconds he was there before he drove away. He had dark circles under his eyes, his jawline was perfectly formed, he had crystal clear blue eyes, a small Beard that looked like he had trimmed a few days ago, and his dark blonde hair was combed back. He reminded me of Dave. We saw Carlos drive away and began to head to the supermarket. We walked into the supermarket and the cool air hit my skin and caused goosebumps to appear on my skin. Austin looked at me and suddenly hugged me "Are you warmer now babe?" he asks hugging me tighter, "I actually am". We both laughed loudly which caused people to stare at us, i pulled away from his hug and grabbed a small red basket, and began to walk. "Wait, hold on Sammi" i turned around and faced Austin who had a shopping cart "Do you really think that : that little basket is gonna hold all of the food we need?" I looked down at the basket and then over to the shopping cart. Realizing that Austin was right i put the basket back in the pile it was once before. I walked towards Austin, he grabbed my hand and pushed the cart with the other. As we were walking i saw the fruit section and i tried to grab a few strawberry cartons but Austin's grip was tight. "Do you mind?" i ask softly chuckling "Oh yeah, sorry" he says smiling and letting go of his strong grip. I grabbed a few strawberries cartons and a few other fruits. We continued to shop and during the whole time we debated on the things we should get. Finally we got to the cash register and began to pay for the food, finally the last item was scanned and the lady asked "Cash, debit, or credit?" "Cash" says Austin as he pulls his wallet out of his pocket. I looked over at the screen to read the total $402.75. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped open "Austin how are we going to pay for all of that? Do you even have enough money?" i was nervous now my heartbeat increased. "Babe relax, i have enough." He pulled out 4 hundred dollar bills and 3 singles. The lady put the money in the register and the receipt began to print out. She ripped it off and handed it to Austin with his change. We began to push the cart out, i wanted to ask where did he get all that money from but i decided to ask when we got home. We saw a group of girls with phones and camara's in their hands. They were all waving in our direction, i looked at Austin who had a huge smile on his face, he loved meeting mahomies. We walked out of the supermarket and as soon as we crossed those doors screams were released. "I'll be right back babe" i nodded as he went off and took pictures. I loved when he met mahomies because he would have the biggest smile on his face, it was like if they were the only ones in the world. I heard someone say "Austin! Austin can you please take a picture with me?" "Of course sweetie" i hear Austin say. I looked over and saw Austin wrap his arms around her for the picture, i wasn't jealous, i thought it was cute. A couple of minutes went by and there was one girl left, she was a little taller than me and she had dark blonde hair with green eyes, she was crying, but she was crying because she was happy. She got to spend more time with Austin than any of the other girls. He hugged her and she began to cry even more "Aw don't cry dont cry" says Austin as he hugs her tighter, i hear her say "Finally, i have my world in my hands. You saved me, thank you". Austin told her something but i couldnt exactly make out what since a few cars passed by. She asked me to take a picture of Austin and her, and i nodded. She grabbed Austins hand and he hugged her from behind, she looked at me and her eyes were full of concern, i gave her a warm smile letting her know that it was okay. "Ready? 1, 2 , 3" i took the picture and handed her; her phone back. "Thank you" she says with a smile on her face.

She began to walk away but then i hear "Hey Sammi?" i see her turn around and walk towards me. "Yeah sweetie?" "Can i talk to you really quick?" she asks a little nervous. "Yeah sure" she pulls me aside and begins to say " I really love you and Austin as a couple. I was hurt at first but i got over it because i realized how happy you make him. He saved me, he keeps me strong. I hope you never hurt him because i don't want that smile on his face to fade, because that smile is what makes me happy. Promise me you wont break his heart." "I promise" i say hugging her. She smiled and began to walk away. "Hey wait! Whats your name?" i yelled since she was now far away "Samantha!" she yelled back, a smiled appeared on her face as she began to get in the car. I smiled at the fact that we had the same name. I walked back towards Austin who was now placing the groceries in the trunk with Carlos's help. I got in the car after they were done and leaned my head against the window. Austin sat next to me and leaned his head on my shoulder, Carlos began to drive away.The whole way back home i thought about what Samantha had said to me.
