Panting. Sweating. A unthinkable feeling of goosebumps course through her body as the banging of the top of the car starts turning into bruises. But how? 'Cars dont get bruised, ugh what is that word.' She thinks to herself. She pushes up on the roof, while Sarah continues to drive in a zig zag. Trying to keep the roof from collapsing on them, and at the same time passenger driving. Not quite her ideal way to go, and she's not going down that road
"Kevin, come help." Orders Carol.
" OK but what if she just decides to start scratching the roof instead? What do we do then?" Kevin gives a smart ass remark.
"Well, if she scratches it, the roof wont collapse so that's good." Carol pauses. " And hopefully this car is insanely sharp nail proof." Carol give a smart ass remark back.
"You guys having fun?! Cause um, yea, me, also known as, the driver, is really freaking out!" Shouts Sarah.
"Just keep the car straight, will you." Carol Struggles.
Sarah's eyes roll. She looks straight ahead onto the never ending road that she has driven upon for about five to ten minutes. 'I mean how tough can that roof be? Just break it and kill us already, stupid bitch.' Thinks Sarah. The road was long, to long to measure. Their city's gateway to the country practically. More then one hundred miles. And halfway lied the loopy bin. The hospital for crazies. And right next to it stood the regular emergency rooms, hospital, whatever anyone calls it. And they both stand on a cliff, at the bottom, water.
Some said there are unspeakable thing in there. Dead bodies. Cars maybe. The unwanted, good riddance, misfits, ugly, terrible..........
Sarah saw a sign, she drove past it quickly, but she could see it enough to make out the letters,
LK GRAVT, TN MLS. CFF NR T, WTCH OT FR SRP TRN.
At first she was confused. But then she remembered going down this whole damn road, just to see her father. Although it was to see her father die, she felt it had been a good ride. That ride made her, and her mother closer. They had been stopping for sight seeing after the death to lighten up the mood. Sarah had drawn the sign in a painting before. While she went sight seeing, along with other painting. But she had never figured for this one to inspire her to do something stupid. Surely she thought the painting of the dead bunny would trigger feeling to becoming a vet. Or something in the rescuing animals business.
'LAKE GRAVITY, TEN MILES. CLIFF NEAR IT, WATCH OUT FOR SHARP TURN.'
This is what the sign read. It had given Sarah a terrible idea, stupid really, more life threatening. Especially for Kevin, in his current condition. Sarah was surprised he was that he was even trying to fight the pain to help out with the roof situation. She had no other choice though. She had to get rid of Selena, or at least knock her out for several hours. But how would she do it, drowning perhaps?
Selena doesn't know how to swim. Sarah wonders if she would remember giving her current state. Which is trying to kill them. Probably not, its still Selena's body. Sarah looked at each sign passing for each mile. Like suspense counting down on an explosion with just seconds remaining. Will it cause a boom? Or will the idiot trying to cut the wires succeed? Fifty-fifty chance. People will tend to guess. As the bomb closes onto the explosion, the idiot thinks he saved them, leaving one second on the clock. Wrong. This bomber had a trick up his sleeve. He installed a backup button in case someone cut the right wire. And when he doesn't hear the explosion....boom, everyone blown into space.
Well, in this case it was with miles. No explosions, no bomb, no bomber. No time. Just plain old miles. She didn't realize how short miles. Could be when going seventy-eight miles per hour. And though going in that speed, Selena still kept her balance on top of the car. Well she was on her knees, but that is beside the point.
As Selena keeps hitting the top of the car, the dent she creates gets deeper. Not breaking at all. Not one gap. In stead in gets lower and lower. Leaving it almost impossible for Kevin and Carol to hold it up. A couple of more hits causes Carol to have to sit in front of the passenger seat on the floor with her head tucked in her knees. Kevin just lied in the back floor in front of the backseats.
One more hit and Selena just stopped. She traveled down the back of the car to the trunk and jumped off. Carol took her head out of place and tried to look out the back window. Sarah turned her head to look at the back. Carol looked at the road in front of the and gasped.
"Sarah stop!"shouted Carol.
Sarah looked to the front and tried to stop the car. But it was to late. The car hits a crossing bear, along with one of its two cubs. Carol busts her jaw in the glove compartment but not hard enough to break it, but hard enough to lose several teeth. Sarah had her seatbelt on. And Kevin got banged up a bit but his legs are still the worst things that hurt like a bitch so far. Carols eyes water up. Her moths fills with dark red liquid, and she gags on it. Trying to spit all the chips in her mouth out. Rocks poor out, several teeth, chipped teeth, and a whole lot of blood come out. Carol taps the glove compartment hard to try and fight through the pain. Rapidly hitting the glove compartment wont make the pain go away though. Barely causes a distraction.
Sarah just got a thin cut across her forehead. Probably from the glass that jumped out of the mirror. Carol cries again. Kevin doesn't speak.
"Kabin!" Is all Carol can say at the moment.
"He's out, i guess he hit his head pretty hard." Exclaims Sarah.
"Sharah, dwibe, nou!" Orders Carol.
"Drive? Why? Are you losing it, cause I'm pretty sure i just got us into an accident where now a bear cub is an orphan." Explains Sarah.
Carol points to the back and through the broken window Sarah could see Selena. Walking towards them casually. When she had jumped it must've broken her left leg because a bone is peeking out of her knee cap. Sarah looks forward and tries to start the car. After five tries, it turns on. Selena jams her bone back in and speeds up. The cub that survived ran out of the cars way but then had stopped in front of Selena. That's when, lets just say, something loses their head.
The car drives, and Sarah stopped it half a mile away from the cliff. Selena catches up to it and stops a couple feet behind. Both Sarah and Selena glare at each other. That's when Sarah sees two head lights behind Selena.
"Perfect." Sarah smiles. Selena leaps towards them.
"Whap awe jou boin? Drive you fucking....." before Carol could finish Sarah pressed on the gas peddle and rode off. Selena had gotten into the car and started to cut up Carol. Carol tried to shoot her, but Selena took her gun and crushed it. Sarah tried to help but Selena slashed her on the neck. Not deep, but stung like a paper cut.
"Carol!" Shouted Sarah.
"Whap?" Carol screams.
"I hope you can swim...." says Sarah.
Sarah reads, 'LAKE GRAVITY AND CLIFF STRAIGHT AHEAD.' Sarah breaks her window and rams into the wooden fence between the small cliff and the road. The car jumps in the air and for that moment Sarah feels like she's flying. Not high, but high enough. She breaks the front window as well. She blinks twice. Punches Selena quickly in the head, right on her good eye and at that moment, it seemed as if Selena was out Cold. She had been. Finally. Sarah pulls her fist back and holds it in pain. She looks forward at the water rapidly coming towards them, no, at the water they are rapidly going towards and Sarah grabs Carols hand. At that moment the car splashes in the water and it sinks in a matter of seconds while Sarah and Carol struggle.
