Addison: The Originators Hero

Chapter 5: Stolen

 As Addison headed for the door, she was stopped by the loud, deep voice.

 "Hero, please protect this diamond, you will need it for your fu-" the voice was saying, before it was cut off by the yell of an unidentified voice, the words Addison couldn't make out.

 "The diamond is mine! Give it here!" The tall skinny man Jamou was with the day before flew in, snatching the diamond. "This is mine! we need it more then you!" he said before flying out with the diamond, hopping in a zoomer and flying off. zoomers where powerful flying machines, a propeller on the bottom and front to make it fly forward and hover. But Addison was confused, the only working zoomer was owned by Jamou, now she knew something was up between Jamou and the unidentified tall man.

 "No! Hero, you must get that diamond back, for all of us." said the deep voice, echoing around the room. "When you do, bring it back here, we will be prepared for you, until then hero, this building will be on lockdown."

 Addison walked out of the building, the door behind her closed and a clicking noise was heard. 'That must of been the lock' she thought. She walked to the edge of the land, looking out to where the zoomer went off, it was no where to be seen. She sighed and began her walk down to the fisherman's boat.

 After her long boat ride back to the town, she ran back to Jamou's house, but only ran into Reece, her best friend at the door, Reece had short natural orange hair, plump lips, and a slightly overweight figure, her eyes where a little to close together but Addison thought it was cute. 

 "Addison! watch where you're going girl!" Reece said, laughing. "Where have you been?" She asked, giving her a hug.

 Addison gasped, thanking god her ears where hidden by the hood of her sweater, and her tail tucked in. She hugged her back, then quickly said "Reece, where is your father?"

"I haven't seen him, why?" Reece responded

"Umn, just wondering is all." Addison said, she didn't want to drag her friends into this mess she was in.

 Reece didn't seem confused by this, and changed the subject, asking Addison hopefully "Hey, I'm actually glad I ran into you, would you join me on a quick walk to the farmers land? there is a weird old egg shaped thing- maybe it would easier if you just came and saw it."

 "Yeah sure! This wont take too long will it? I've got some stuff to do later." 

 Reece nodded and smiled, the two of them walked across the village to the farmers land, they climbed a small hill, and when they reached the top, Reece motioned to an object stuck into the ground, the same rusty color of all the other Originator objects around, or at least similar. She walked closer to it, Reece walking closer as well, Addison looked at it, examining it, it was sort of an egg shape, or at least the part sticking out of the ground seemed to be. she turned to Reece.

 "How did you find this?" Addison asked

 Reece answered after thinking for a second "Oh! umn, I found it last night, while you where gone, I just was climbing for, fun!"

 Addison raised her eyebrow, nodding. "Okay.. well it is probably dangerous, so I wouldn't touch it Reece."

 She slowly stood up, looking at the object some more, noticing the writing on the sides of it, it wasn't English, or even any language she could recognize, they just looked like symbols. Addison began to climb down, Reece sighed and followed her.

 The two girls returned home, it was still early, only about 12:00, Addison headed to her room, remembering the sword she had on her back, why hadn't Reece commented on it? Had Reece really not seen her new cat features? Why did her dreams predict her becoming a cat person? Too many questions, at the current moment she was mainly worried about getting herself reverted back to normal, and following what that deep voice said.
