Maya's POV

So it's just another normal day in Mr.Matthew's class. We see the words "Ancient Rome" written on the board. We were about to start class when we hear a knock on the door. Everyone is here today, so it must be a new kid. When the kid walks through the door, I realize it's not some random kid, it's Brandon!

Brandon's POV

So I walk in to Mr.Matthews class, to see Maya and her little clique. Maya and I have hung out since I left so she's the only one here I feel completely comfortable around. In fact, the only reason I came back to Abigail Adams, was to win Maya over.

No one's POV

Mr.Matthews start telling us about Ancient Rome when Brandon raises his hand. "Yes, Brandon?" Mr Matthews asks. "Ancient Rome reminds me of Maya," he said. Maya turned around and looked at Brandon with confused eyes. "May I ask why?" Mr.Matthews asked. "Because Ancient Rome was built on ruins. And it's quite breathtaking. And it makes you think," Brandon says as he turns to look at Maya. "You could be too," he said. The entire class went "awwwww" except for Lucas and Zay.

Lucas was confused. Extremely confused. He also didn't want Maya to be with Brandon. Zay wants Lucas to be with Maya more than life itself, so they weren't happy.

Maya on the other hand was practically making heart eyes at Brandon, to which Lucas noticed and did not like.

Brandon practically shot the same heart eyes toward Maya. Mr.Matthews quickly noticed this. "BRANDON STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER," he yelled in a furious voice. Brandon raised his hands and defeat and pulled out a white flag from his backpack and raised it. Maya laughed. Brandon just shot her a smile.

*After Class* Still no one's POV

Maya was gonna ask Brandon to hang out with them. She saw him talking to a few friends so she walked up to him. "Could you guys give me a sec?" Brandon asked. His friends all winked at him, as Brandon proceeded to roll his eyes.

"Hey Brandon," Maya asked. "What's up Hart?" He asked. "Well I was wondering if you would like to hang out with me and my friends after school today?" She asked. Brandon smiled, then it turned to an evil grin. "So Hart wants to show me around, eh?" Brandon said. Maya then just preceded to smirk at him. "Oh give me a break. You're new here. And besides that little compliment in Mr.Matthew's class was sweet so. I decided it was the least I could do," she said. Brandon smiled. "Sure Hart. Meet me by my locker after school," he said as he walked to his next class.

Maya then proceeded to go tell her friends the good news. "Hey guys, guess what!" she said happily. "You went into sugar shock?" Zay said. Maya deadpanned. "No. Brandon's hanging out with us after school today!" She said. Everyone was excited except for Lucas, Zay,and Smackle. Lucas was deadpanning, Zay was boiling, and Smackle was just straight up unamused.

"Umm why?" Lucas said in a frustrated tone. Riley noticed this bit shrugged it off. "Because he's sweet," Maya said. Lucas jut stormed off to science class. Zay followed. Smackle hit some random kid with a book, and then went to history.

"What's got him all riled up?" Maya asked. Farkle just giggled and left for theater. Riley just shrugged and left for math class. Maya just stood there all alone. When bell finally rang, she went to science class, unprepared to face Lucas. After all he was her partner.

*Science Class* Still No One's POV

Maya sat down beside Lucas. Lucas was not happy, but he still loved Maya. He couldn't stay mad at her for long. "So are you mad at me?" Maya asked. He just exhaled a deep breath. "Maya. I'm not mad at you. I could never stay mad at you. I would never want to hurt you. Zay on the other hand, might be really mad," Lucas laughed. Maya just joined him. "Thanks Lucas," she said. He smiled at her, softly. "No problem, Maya," he said as he pulled her into a hug. Maya smiled. Lucas smiled. Zay took a picture. The entire class was staring at them, but they didn't care. That was their moment.
