Okay so I was evil and made a cliffhanger last chapter. But I followed up with a long chapter.

*Still at the Bay Window* No One's POV

Maya kept stuttering. Her heart knew exactly who she wanted but her head didn't get the memo.

"I pick...Brandon," she said. Lucas heart fell to pieces. Lucas just murmured under his breath, "I thought we had something special." This caused Maya's heart to shatter into a million pieces. Lucas just climbed out the bay window. Riley had a disappointed look on her face. Zay's face was plastered in disgust. Smackle looked like she was going to take down Godzilla and Farkle looked like he was gonna send Brandon to his grave.

Riley was the first to speak. "Maya? Why?" She asked. "I didn't want to tear our friendship apart," Maya said. Riley just looked completely shocked. Brandon piped up surprisingly. "Go find Lucas. In order for you to truly be happy, you all still need to be friends. I don't want to take away the friendship," he said. Maya nodded as she climbed out the bay window.

*Maya's Apartment* No One's POV *3 hours later*

Maya had searched all over New York for Lucas. She had come up empty handed. She finally decided to go back to her apartment. She unlocked the door, only to reveal a vulnerable Lucas. He looked up once he heard the door open. "Maya...I," was all he could get out. "I love you," Maya told him. "I may be 15 but I love you," she said again. Lucas stood there speechless. "Wait what?" he asked in disbelief. "I went all around New York trying to find you because you mean more to me than anyone else has ever meant to me before. You bring out this side of me. A side that no one. Not even Brandon, can bring out in me," Maya said. "Maya then why didn't you pick me?" He asked coming closer. Very close. "Because you chose Riley. Lucas do you know the feeling of being in love with someone and then seeing them choose someone else to be with?" She asked.

At this point Lucas felt a fire inside of him. "Yes I do. In fact, you did it to me about 3 hours ago, actually," Lucas said. "Maya let me ask you again. Why didn't you pick me?" He said. "I was afraid," Maya answered, honestly. "Afraid of what?" Lucas asked. "Afraid of you going back to Riley," she said as a tear rolled down her cheek. Lucas heart felt like he had just betrayed his best friend. He felt like he betrayed everything he's ever known.

        "Listen to me Maya," he said as he pulled her chin up, so that way she was looking him straight in the eyes. "I would never ever do anything to hurt you. Never you. I only ever care about you," Lucas said as he softly kissed her. That soft kiss soon became them slow dancing to Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett. She eventually she got tired and laid down on the couch. He laid down beside her. After she went to sleep, Lucas carried her to her bed.

          He laid her down and looked at the time. 3;49 A.M. Maya was "half awake half asleep" when she told him this. "Lucas get it. It's nearly 4:00 A.M. It is way to late to be commuting anywhere," she said. Lucas agreed and crawled in. He stayed put the rest of the night.
