Lois' P.O.V.We have been walking for around 4 hours now! My feet can't take it any more! Molly has been lagging behind for like, 1 hour. To break the silence that has come upon us, I ask Molly a question that I have been wondering about for quite a while now...
"Hey Molls, can I ask ya somert?" I say, "Shoot," she replies,
"Well you know when we were in the chamber thing with Mark and that lot,"
"Oh god don't remind me!" She groans at the memory. "Yeah, well, anyway, how come you kept doubling over in laughter every so often? It was pretty wierd," I ask.
"Don't be stupid Lo! Why would I be laughing at a time like that?" She sneers, thinking I was being an idiot. "Do you seriously not remember?" I say, confused. "Maybe she was sleep laughing in her sleep," Joe offers.
"Don't be a fool Joe, she was wide awake all the time we we're there! No in their right mind would go to sleep in that place!" Tom says. I begin to question everything that Molly does. She can't remember her own actions. How? "Be honest guys, was I really laughing? Cause I seriously can't remember!" Molly worries.
"I can't understand how you could just forget!" Tom rakes his brain for a solution. "Hey, maybe you turning insane and you'll wanna eat us soon," I joke, trying to bring light into the situation, but it only brought new, scarier thoughts to our minds... Could Molly be going insane? If so, what should we do? What would happen to us? No Lois! I tell myself, your thinking way to deeply into this! Molly will be fine! She'll just be overwhelmed with everything that's happened! But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the thought of Molly out of my mind.I thought about how the people go crazy. From what the others have told me, some people go crazy from no water or food, some go insane from no human interaction, and some go mad from the loss of loved ones. I know Molly has lost all her family, or at least hasn't seen them since the day the collision happened. (The collision was when all the countries suddenly collided together and we slowly started to run out of every-day-life provisions! So people started to feast on human flesh! That was why the woman I met when I first woke up smelt of rotting pig flesh! It was rotting human!). Anyway, the collision happened 6 months ago. It took a week for the world to fall apart. I was out for a week, it's a mystery that I'm still alive.
Right, back to the point! Molly has lost all her family, but surely if that was the cause she would have gone crazy ages ago! And she has food and water, and so far plenty of human interaction! So if she is going crazy, why? Maybe it's just the thought of never getting a proper future, cause even if we do survive this hell, you can't live properly with the memories of this life. Molls always told me that she wanted a massive wedding, a loving husband and 3 kids when she grew up. Maybe that is it, the thought of never getting her life long dreams? Cause in the back of her mind, she will know that every day is a challenge, we could die at any moment...
Hi everyone! Hope you enjoyed this chapter! It's the longest I've ever written (and it isn't even that long! Lol). I'll start writing long chapter cause it's pretty embarrassing when I look back on the first few chapters and see how short they are!
Anyways, I'm gonna keep in the routine of post every so often, maybe defiantly on Wednesdays and whenever I feel like it in between. We'll see how it goes. Also, I just want to say I feel bad for Molly, even though I'm writing this book. It's probably cause I invented her):What do you think? Do you think she will go mad or won't! Comment what you think about Molly, whether u like her and stuff :) I do! And also I know Kaya Scodelario is a lot older than 12 but she fits how I pictured Molly soooo...
Okay byeee guys Xx
