"Today's Breaking News: Seventeen casualties after seemingly organized murders take place at 9:00 this morning, including four casualties in a bar fight, which witnesses claim was initiated by a man who has yet to be identified. A family of four has also been found in a locked warehouse, all starved to death. Finally, nine bodies were discovered in an abandoned house whose causes of death were not determined. These bodies were discovered after a 911 call was made, allegedly by the killer himself. Police have not responded to whether these murders are connected to yesterday's murders of similar bizarreness, however - "
Bernard switched the TV off and sighed. He checked his watch: 11:49AM. He sighed again, stroking James.
"How did I not see this coming?" he thought to himself. Well, to be honest, they really couldn't have expected this to happen. There were no clues to it whatsoever.
But who will be the first to blame? Police. People expect them to prevent all crimes, no matter how random and unpredictable they are.
Bernard's phone rang right next to James. James violently meowed and ran across to the other side of the room. Bernard picked it up; it was Ellyas.
"Jesus, John," she sighed.
She hadn't called him John in a long time.
"I know."
"Seventeen casualties."
"I know."
"Are you coming down to the station?"
"Mhmm, right after I get ready."
"Alright. See you."
Bernard was about to toss the phone on the couch before it vibrated again. Looking at it, he saw it was an email. It had no subject or sender. He opened it warily.
"When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come." And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him." - Revelation 6: 3-4
At first glance, he thought it was identical to the first email, but this time, it was a red horse. However, it still made no sense to him, and so he tossed his phone away and began to get ready.

"What do they have in common to yesterday's murders?"
They sat in Ellyas' office, brainstorming. Or at least, trying to.
"Well they all happened at 9:00, there were three separate locations," answered Bernard.
"There were murders by injection of some sort of infection or disease in both events," added Ellyas.
"There was forced starvation in both events,"
continued Bernard."And the other two?" asked Ellyas. "A bar fight and someone shooting their friend."
"Conflict?" suggested Bernard. "An argument was a factor in both of them."
Ellyas didn't look satisfied. "Well that's great, but that doesn't tell us how they're connected."
Bernard thought to a moment about the emails, but decided not to bring it up.
"There's one thing we know for sure though," informed Bernard. "We can expect another thing like this - "
"Tomorrow at 9:00AM," finished Ellyas grimly.
