I walk into my house and I see everyone staring at me. I roll my eyes and I go to my room. Someone knocks on my door
"Come in." I mutter. My mom steps into my room
"I'm not here to yell at you." She says shutting the door coming and sitting with me on my bed.
"Okay?" I say
"I just want to know, what's going on with you lately? Your so different." She says
"I guess I'm just more confident, happier I guess." I say
"No, you've been acting out. You called your brother a douche, and you have hickeys on your neck." She says
"He was being a douche. And those were a mistake. I didn't really want to. I was just mad at Shawn and wanted him to be hurt. I didn't have sex though if that's what you were implying." I say
"Leah! Oh heavens no! I know you'd wait for a bit." She says "and I know your going to be mad, but stop hanging out with Shawn. Jay told me about him."
"No." I say sternly
"Leah don't argue with me. It's your brothers birthday and you need to clean up your shit because I'm not dealing with your 16 year old drama. It's his 18th birthday and you know we're having a party and you know you have to help." She says
"Fine, but Casey is coming over and helping me." I say
"Help you what?" She says
"Not kill someone." I say. She rolls her eyes and mumbles fine.
Casey hands me the frosting and I frost the cupcakes. I eat some then finish frosting. I put them on the cupcake tree then I place them on the counter. Me and Casey clean up the house while everyone is setting up.
Soon enough people arrive and I see Shawn come in the door. I run and jump in his arms and wrap my legs around his torso
"Hi baby." He says. We kiss and he tries to set me down. I stay. "Babe." He whines
"Yes?" I say
"I'd like to go and talk to people." He says. I get down and we hold hands and walk over to a group of his non-gang friends.
"Oh hey Shawn!" Emily Zanderbolk says. She's the queen bee of our school and has a crush on Shawn. I hold his hand tightly
"Hi Emily." He says
She twirls the cheap extension in her hair and obviously pushes her boobs up but Shawn doesn't seem to notice "How are you?" She smiles and goes touch his muscles and I slap her hand
"Hands off. He's mine." I glare. Shawn laughs
"Your funny. He's mine." She says
"Who's he dating? Oh yeah, me. Your just an old booty call that's got no booty." Shawn starts laughing and she rolls her eyes and goes over to Jeremy
"That was savage Leah." He says
"Your mine. I'm not letting that fake, basic hoe take you." I say
"Oh trust me she'd never get me. I'm yours and only yours." He smiles
"Good." I kiss his cheek and we go get a cupcake. Shawn takes a box out of his pocket and places it on the gift table.
"I'm bored." Shawn whines.
"Good for you." I roll my eyes and laugh.
