My life sucks.

Untitled Part 1

" Ivy, wake up! You are gonna be late!" My mom yelled at me from downstairs. I woke up to my little brother Jumping up and down on my bed, while I was still in it. " Ivy wake up, Ivy, Ivy, Ivy, IVY!"

I got up and yelled at my brother. " Alex, get out of my room. I need to get ready before Kelly gets here and bugs me too." Kelly is my best friend but she is the complete opposite of me. She is short, blond, blue eyed, and pretty. She wears a lot of pink and bright colors. I have jet black hair, black-brown eyes, and I wear a lot of dark clothes. I am tall, skinny, and not-as-pretty as Kelly but everyone says otherwise, even Kelly.

I walked over to my closet and put on my normal outfit. Black short sleeved shirt, black shorts, black-ripped tights, and knee-high tan boots. I walked down to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of blood. Yeah I'm a vampire, and I go to a night- high school. My mom walked over to me and said " Can't you once look like a normal human?" My mom is a security guard at one of the colleges in our area. She is a human so she can work during the day. My father doesn't live with us. He died when my brother was a small child.

I put the bag of blood in the microwave and heated it up to my liking. Kelly knocked at my door and Alex ran to the door to get it. Alex likes Kelly more than me. I think he has a crush on Kelly but he would never admit it. Kelly walked into the kitchen and said " Are you ready slow-poke"? I grabbed my blood out of the microwave and poured it into my water-bottle. Kelly and everyone at my school are vampires, so it doesn't shock her that I have blood in a bottle. " Yeah Batty- buddy. Just shut up!"

We arrived at school and headed to the dance room to get ready for first class. I know, you expect Kelly to be the best and popular but, she is taking this class because I am her dance tutor. I have a scholarship to the best arts college in the country. The bell rang and everyone rushed into the class. Even though we had another minute to get into class we had to change. Ms. Bonita was our teacher she was a hybrid so she can do many different dances. I'm a hybrid so I could relate to her. This is my favorite class.

After first class, I go to my Geometry 2 class. Mr. Wolfe is my teacher. Most of the girls in my class drool over him, wanting to bite and drink his blood but, I think that would be the grossest thing in the world. I don't like wolf blood. At third class is the class I have with my friend Dominic. He is a human so he has to carry around the secret of vampires with him. He sits next to me in Science 2 . " Hey Ivy, did you do your homework?" I completely forgot about this project. We had to explain in our project how pi is part of cold fusion. Which I don't know how but I think that is the point. " No, I need to work on that during lunch. Do you wanna come with me to the study area?" HIs eyes sorta lit up when I asked him. I know it sounds like he likes me and he does but he knows that would ruin our friendship. " Yeah totally Ivy, I'd love to help you. Anytime."

I know that sounded weird but I went with it. " Uh....Thanks." After class we went to the study area. Normal schools call it the library but ours is more than a library. Ours has 15 yard high shelves and it has bars where we can hang and read. That way with blood flowing to our heads we can study more. Dominic grabbed his ladder and I flew up to grab a book that i know would be good this project. Dominic just stared at me when I flew up. Most kids my age can't turn into bats but since I'm a hybrid I have special abilities. When I came down and turned back Dominic said " Uh.......Ivy.... Would you...uh....go out with me ?" I stared at him and my eyes turned red " Um.. Dominic I would actually like to." He just stared at me like he didn't expect me to say yes. " Wow.. uh.. Ok so Saturday?" "Sure" Dominic looked like he was about to die of happiness. Dominic is one of those boys that most girls would die to date but he only liked me. "Alright I'll text you later." He gave me hug and kissed my cheek. My normal pale skin made me look like a lobster from blushing. Which usually doesn't happen around Dominic so he started to laugh at me. I got mad so I playfully punched him. "Ow, hey!" I forgot about my strength to humans. Dominic is a tough guy but weak compared to me.

When I got home I looked at my phone and Dominic spammed my phone with 41 text messages. "Ugh.... Dominic you are annoying." Right when I started to read the texts, Kelly called me and she screamed into the phone. " OH MY GOTHAM! You Have a date with Dominic! You are so lucky! What are you wearing? Do you need my help with makeup? Should I come over and help you plan?" Kelly is one of those girls that like Dominic. I love her but I think she caused me to be deaf in one ear. " Ok, first Ow.Anyway I don't know what I'm wearing. Its Wednesday and our date is on Saturday. So calm down perky and I can do my own makeup." " Dear, no I have seen how you do your makeup you need help. I know we are vampires but try and look normal."

We spent an hour fighting how to do makeup. My mom walked in after I hung up with Kelly. " Honey-bat, Dinner is ready." I looked up from my phone to see if she was serious. My mom isn't one of those vampires that make dinner for her family. Since she cooked it will probably be blood soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. My mom is one of those health-bat's that think that animals are people too. I don't know how it worked with her and dad.

When we started to eat my mom asked " So Ivy, how was your day?" When she said that I choked on my blood soup. My mom is weird because she isn't a vampire but she has some powers of vampires from giving birth to me and my brother. She can read minds, she has super hearing, and she can get to us if we are in trouble in a second. " Good, I studied with Dominic, had a slice of veggie pizza with blood sauce, I have a date with Dominic and I aced my math quiz." My mom looked at me shocked and she seemed like she was about to explode with happiness. " what did you just say?" I looked down. " I aced my math quiz..." " before that." " I have a date with Dominic." Alex started to die of laughter so I tried to bite him and tear off his arm. "MOM! IVY IS TRYING TO KILL ME!" Alex screamed. "Ivy I understand Alex shouldn't laugh at your accomplishment." She glared at him. " but, that is no excuse to try and kill him. Now, Alex go to your room with no dessert and Ivy go get your shoes tomorrow after school, we are going shopping for your date." "BUT MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Alex and I whine. My mom smiles at us and says " Go to bed please, both of you." I walked to my room while my brother argued with my mom. My mom is like any normal girl's room. Big king sized bed , a vanity mirror by the door, a walk in closet and a flat screen TV. I know I'm spoiled so shut up. My mom wants us to have anything we want because she thinks we are "traumatized" after losing dad and having this "curse" of being vampires. It's not a curse it's a blessing. Plus, we are not traumatized by our fathers death, we went through much worse by killing innocent people for there blood. I called Kelly back and she kept asking different questions about me and Dominic's date. After a while, I said I had to go because it was getting early so I left our little phone call and went to bed.
