You stared down at the cards in your hand. Sure enough, this guy is a tough opponent. However, due to the recognition of his duel disk, you immediately found out that he used Xyz summoning. It didn't help the fact his Raid Raptors had great abilities, as well with his combination of using Rank Up spells and traps to increase the power of his monsters. Heck, talking to him through dueling isn't even working! "You know, it's been a while since I had a good duel," you smirked over at the mysterious male.

"Well this duel is about to end soon and once I'm done with you, you and your comrades would help me lure out your boss!"

You furrowed your brows. So he's looking for Reiji. "I guess you have some type of grudge with this boss you speak of, or maybe you want him for some purpose? Care to explain?"

"I have no reason to talk to someone like you. Bring out your leader already! My RaidRaptor - Blaze Falcon can attack you directly!" You raised your arms in defense and growled when your life points are down to a meer 500. "If Blaze Falcon is successful at attacking you directly, its able to destroy one monster you control!"

"Red-Eyes Metal Flare Dragon's ability allows it be unaffected by card effects if it still has overlay units! You also take 500 points of damage for doing so!" You looked up at your dragon who charged a fireball at the guy before you. He took the damage but his life points went down to 1000. "And now, it's my turn! I draw!" You looked at the card and your eyes went wide.

A growl escaped your throat as you gripped the card. This card brought so much hatred to you, you were sure you threw it out your deck. But here it stood before you, glowering up at you. Its aura was enough for you to shake. "What's wrong? Scared that you're about to lose? Just finish up your turn and it'll all be over!" The man shouted.

Your head hurt and you dropped the card. You placed your hands on your head and bent down as you shook slightly. The Xyz user stood slightly confused but he was beginning to get impatient, "if you aren't going to make your move, then just end it!" He looked over at the fallen card and immediately, hatred filled him. "End your turn already! Stop stalling!"

You blocked out his voice. You felt as if something was aching to take over you. One of your hands left your head and slowly began to reach over towards the card. Just when your hand hovered above the card, you felt something on your shoulder. "That's enough." You looked up and was met with purple orbs staring back at you.

"Reiji...." You dropped your hands to your sides as your eyes began to water. Your duel disk along with your opponent's deactivated and the cards in your hand fell to the floor. Reiji bent down and took the card into his hand, Polymerization.

He picked up the rest of the fallen cards and brought you up, "an entertainer shouldn't reveal tears in front of their audience."

Your eyes went wide and you quickly wiped them, "I-I'm not crying! Just staring at your face can get my eyes watery, that's all! Y-You're just an eyesore!"

"I just assisted you out of a situation that you would have never gotten out of, and I'm classified as an eyesore," Reiji didn't seem phased.

"Are you Akaba Reiji?" The guy who was silent all this time spoke.

"That is correct. I'm Akaba Reiji, current president of Leo Corporation." Reiji pushed up his glasses while putting his entire focus towards the Xyz user. "The fact that you continue to assault parties associated with Leo Corporation such as LDS in Maiami City means you wish to meet me. Am I mistaken?"

You kept staring between the two as they conversed. That was when you heard the Xyz user say Akaba Leo. You glared at the ground, that man was and still is a douche bag. He's insane. Reiji continued on with conducting his conversation and he mentioned about his comrades. What surprised you was when he hit the nail directly on the head. You were beginning to think Akaba Reiji was some supernatural alien whose knowledge passed that quiz master.

The man explained how he wishes to use Reiji as a bargaining chip to trade for his comrade but you were sure that heartless bastard wouldn't even care for his own son. As you continued to glare off into space and barely listen to the conversation , you noticed that Reiji's hand that was placed on your shoulder left and you blinked. You turned around and began to see him leaving. "Hey! Wait up!" You jogged over towards the male, the bandanna in your hair swaying back and forth.

Your previous opponent's gold yellow eyes widened at the bandanna. He reached his hand to the one tied around his neck and clutched it, watching as you left with the head of Leo Corporation. He suddenly took a step forward, "you! The one with the ponytail! What's your name?"

You stopped in your tracks and turned your head to look at him, "it's only common curtesy to state your name before asking for someone else's."

The man hesitated, "Kurosaki Shun. Now what's your name?"

"[Y/n], [L/n] [Y/n]."

Shun stood quiet until it hit him, "[L/n]! We need to talk!"

You stood where you were. You then turned your head away and began walking over to Reiji who gladly waited for you, "I have no reason to associate with you."

"Wait-!" Before Shun was able to contact you, you disappeared along with the president of LDS and into the shadows of the night.

You looked forward with a distant glint in your eyes, "he's from the Xyz Dimension right?"

"Most likely. If he's here to resue his fallen comrades after Academia's doings, then there's a high possibility that he came from the Xyz Dimension," Reiji informed. He then gave you a side look, "do you know that man?"

You continued on walking besides him. Sure enough, Academia brought Heartland to the brink of destruction. However, it didn't make you any happier that you were there too, the horrific memory of the citizens of Heartland as they cried and begged for mercy. And as they all turned into cards right before your eyes.

"Nope, Kurosaki Shun, doesn't ring a bell."
