even though the two met three times a week and studied three hours each session, taehyung still couldn't quite get anything past coloring the periodic table.

"how was your quiz today?" hyunae asked a little hopeful the boy might have done well. instead, he sadly took out his quiz and placed the big fat d+ in front of her face. "ah well, this is better than last week's quiz..." she said trying to cheer him up.

"it's hopeless!" he said exasperatedly, "i'm going to flunk chemistry--this will be the end of me!"

"i don't understand, i taught you all the topics for your quiz and you said you understood them..." taehyung's eyes glanced towards the saddened girl. his hands reached out to comfort hers.

"it's not your fault hyunae! i'm just so dumb... so dumb compared to you..." it was taehyung's turn for his head to droop sadly. he felt a small hand squeeze his and he looked up to see a smiling hyunae before him.

"don't worry taehyung-ssi, we'll bring your grade up in chemistry in no time!" the smile on her face made the boy smile as well. she should really do this more often than have her face shoved in a book. "there is still a lot of time left before your final--we will definitely be ready before then!"

taehyung nodded firmly, agreeing with the girl.

"let's just start with going over your quiz okay?" taehyung scooted closer to the girl, his arm brushing against hers. she felt her cheeks blush a shade of crimson, but she let her hair fall and cover her face.

"oh! i see where i went wrong!" taehyung exclaimed while redoing the problem on a seperate sheet of paper. once he finished he showed it to hyunae and she smiled!

"that's exactly correct! it was just a simple mistake." the boy sighed as he looked over all of his corrections with a satisfied smile on his face. he turned towards the girl with a huge grin.

"thanks so much for all of this hyunae!"

"it's n-nothing really, i am your t-tutor." she stuttered. 

"no, i mean it..." the boy looked at her blushing face, "you're so smart, and you could be doing way better things than tutoring someone as dumb as me. i really appreciate it and i won't let you down!" 

before hyunae could respond, the boy grabbed onto her small frame and pulled her into his toned chest for a hug. she hopped he couldn't hear her heartbeat pounding in her chest.
