Jazakillah khairan for asking sis
__________________________________
Her first question was:
Do people judge you? And if so how does that feel?___________________________________
Do they judge?
yes they do, and i'm talking about muslim people too.How does it feel?
If it comes out as weird stares or a look of surprise on their faces if you got in a conversation they never expected you to talk about like fashion or a talk against isis or whatever,or a surprised looking teacher because of your perfect answers and good knowlege, or even surprised girls cause you have a cosmetic mirror in your bag! then i'm used to it,
but the worst part if it lead to actions for example:
a teacher keeps looking at you in the exam as if waiting for you to cheat and take advantage of your niqab to do so,or a nervous worker in a boutiqe walking behind you waiting for you to steal something and keeps asking you about what you need and if he can help -not in a good way but in a nervous annoying one- or people looks as if they saw an alien and keeping a distant from you waiting for you to activate the bomb!
Or a guy thinking that you're actually a bad girl with dark past trying to keep your self away from the gaze of those people whom knows your reality :/
It makes me sad sometimes cause i just can't act as if those things never existed!
And i'm a human and a girl and i have feelings!
And the worst part is if that happend from a relative whome didn't recognise you in a public place :/
You know! I can't just treat her the same after that, i can't smile to her warmly when the scene keeps flashing in my mind! Though i might try.
But there's also those people whom judge you as an angel like you don't have the right to make mistakes and this is tiring too, cause let's be honest i'm a human i'm not coming frim jannah for allah's sake!
I mistake and repent like any other human but i'm just trying my best to stick to the right path.
And there's these people whom think of every niqabi to be married!
As if i can't wear it if i'm single, or cause they think all the niqabi's are victims for men in thier families whom are controlling them,
Hold your horses people we aren't victims! Atleast not all of us.
___________________________________The secound question was:
Do people actually say something?
And if so what do you say back?
___________________________________
Yes they talk alot but it depends, if they're talking just for talking and their minds are already made-up they wont listen, so why waisting the time with no results? But if they're willing to discuss the matter then why not?
But usually i don't say comebacks in the heat of the moment, i just keep them in my head, and we hope allah swt to reward us for the sabr insha'allah :)
Hope i sayed something useful :P
