" I will always be on your side, remember that."
The blurry face of a girl around my age disappeared as I opened my eyes. I slowly sat up while shaking my head. I could not remember anything, not even my name. But a name echoed within my mind: Amelia
"Who is that? Why cant I remember anything?"
Alot of things went through my mind, but theres something more important now. I scanned my surroundings. Apart from my white bed a white table and a TV screen on the wall, there was nothing else inside the completely white room. If there were and windows or door it would have been hidden.
I walked towards the TV screen and examined it. It did not have any buttons on it so i figured it would be turned on by a remote controller. I turned around and was about to walk towards the table when the screen came on.
The screen showed nothing but a message in red: you have a minute to exit this room. As soon as I read that message out loud, the screen switched off.
What could you do in a minute? Boil some water? Do a couple of situps? Or maybe even escape from a completely white room.
I knew there had to be a hidden window somewhere, the way the screen reacted to my movements, someone was controlling it yet no cameras or holes could be seen.
55 seconds left.
I looked around the table, lifting it, turning it upside down, but I could not find a thing.
47 seconds left.
The bed. I tried moving it but it would not move. I looked around and studied the 4 walls of the room.
42 seconds left.
I closed my eyes.
39 seconds left.
I opened my eyes and grabbed the table.
36 seconds left.
With all the strength I had, I threw the table towards the ceiling. The ceiling collapsed and a ladder dropped.
33 seconds left.
I climbed the ladder as quickly as I could and when I reached the top I was greeted with a punch.
I grabbed the arm with my left hand and managed to stop the fist from reaching my face.
"Impressive, I see why they gave u a shortcut."
I moved the arm away and saw the man who had attempted to punch me. He was wearing a red suit with bulky red armour, as if it was covered with the blood of the people he punched in the face....must have been alot. The visor on his helmet had a small crack on the side of it. It was not easy to spot but somehow it was the first thing I noticed.
"Pretty sharp for a rookie. Follow me, you will meet your new.....friends."
His voice did not sound suspicious, but the way he phrased his words was what kept me on guard. I followed him out of the room into what seemed like a lecture hall. There was a large screen at the front of the hall with a staircase leading to it from the door we just came out from. Beside the staircase were tables and chairs, occupied by people who seemed to be just a few years older than me. They turned to look at me.
I was not sure if those 62 eyes were looking at me, or the "bloody" armoured guy beside me. But one thing I was sure of, was that this, was just the beginning of something really big.
