☮ Him ☮

The icy cold lemonade filled his mouth, delicious and perfect. They were both in the cottage, sitting directly under the fan and drinking the world's bet lemonade. He had his camera and was catching her in a beatiful golden light as she sketched something. He had learned just recently that she drew the most beautiful things. But what he'd noticed was that while she was sketching, she looked the most perfect. Her light brown hair fell over one shoulder, her gorgeous ocean eyes focused and unaware. A little crease between her brows and her small mouth in a line. The moment her pencil touched the sketchbook, the rest of the wrld just dissolved around her, including him. But he didn't mind. He didn't mind anything she did.

After a long, comfortabe slence filled only by the sound of sketching and the soft click of the camera, she looked up.

"Hey," She said, smiling. Her soft voice filed his ears like a quiet, enchanting melody. Her voice had to be one of the best sounds in the world. And her smile, oh her smile. When she was smiling, you could forget anything bad had ever happened, because she was smiling.

"Hey," He replied, smiling back. He seemed to do that a lot nowadays.

"So, I was thinking..." She started, a mischievous glint in her eyes. He raised his eyebrows.

"You and thinking, not a good idea" he teased playfully. She laughed, a soft lilting sound, he smiled wider.

"My family and I are going on our annual summer vacation in a week,"

"Mhmm,"

"Well, I'm allowed to bring a friend." Her eyes probed his, looking for some understanding at the not-so-subtle hints she'd just dropped.

"And...?" He asked. faking ignornce. But his smile gave him away. She rolled her eyes, then she grabbed the nearest pillow and began whacking him with it repeatedly.

"Just say yes already!" She yelled, giggling uncontrollably. He laughed aloud.

"Yes! Yes I will come with you on this trip. My parents will be so happy I found a friend, and the fact that you're a girl. Wow, they will be over the moon." He put his arm around her and pulled her in, the warmth of her small, delicate body against his feeling so perfect. Like every moment spent with her.

"Great, we're going to... wait for it... Goa!" She yelled happily.

"What's that?"

"Why are you stupid? It's this awesome place in India where there are beaches, and seafood, and parasailing and perfection. We go there every two years. You'll love it."  She smiled and nestled herself against his chest, once again picking up her sketchbook. In that moment, he realised that chances are he would love this, Goa. Or any other place they were to go. But not for the place, or the good time, but because he'd be there with her.

It didn't matter where they went, what they did or how they did it. As long as he had her, he'd love it.

He loved her.
