It's my first day at school which will consist of me being out of people's way and/or making a fool of myself. A typical day for me, of course.

My first impression of the school was that the hallways were less packed than in New York, but of course, I should know it's not the same. Eyes of every color looked my way as I was trying to find my locker, it was quite uncomfortable.

"Hey, you're the new girl, right? The one from New York!" I heard a very cheerful and happy voice, I turn to see a blonde with green eyes and a smile so wide it made my cheeks hurt.

"Uh, yeah. How do you know?" I ask her.

"It is so obvious you're from a big city. Around here, everyone knows everyone, Claire." She looks at me with an evil smile.

I laugh, "Okay, now you're just getting creepy." She links her arm with mine and leads me away to who knows where. "Um, I need to ask you something." We stop and she looks at me.

"What?"

"Who are you and where are you taking me?" Curiosity rising in me.

"We'll my name is Tara Niles, and I'm taking you to meet my friends." Now she's dragging me towards the exit door and catching even more weird glances than before.

"Oh no! I'm not good with meeting new people or in fact talking to new people." My heart rate is most likely very high right now.

She stares at me for the longest time and smirks, "You seem to talk to me just fine! Besides the bell will ring anytime now and we'll all have to go to class."

"Well-" I didn't even get to finish my sentence because she's hauling me. Again.

We exit the building and I see people of all types and cliques surrounding picnic tables all over the school's back yard. Tara points to one specifically, it seems just fine until a familiar pair of eyes looks our way.

"Oh, no way." I murmured. Is my luck really this bad?

Tara, on the other hand, seems even more excited than earlier. "Come on!"

The table we were heading to was in the center of the yard, so everyone's eyes were on Tara and me. I really hope that this won't last long enough for me to get used to.

"Hello, my people!" Tara greets excitedly. He turns to me, "These are my people." She has a big grin on her face.

"We are not her people." A rather annoyed voice comments, I turn to see the a me boy from the day in the park. Hi, he mouthed.

Tara looked between Daniel and I. Suspicion in her eyes. "Do you guys know each other?" She asks.

Daniel's face darkens. He doesn't want Tara to know, I think. I find the other two boys that were with Daniel that day, they obviously know not to tell either. Huh, weird.

Before Daniel could answer her, the bell rang and everyone sprinted towards the door and I'm find myself lost in a sea of people.

The rest of my morning was neutral. At lunch time, I had a major headache and decide to just leave school and head home. This has been enough for me. But as I suspected he was there and he just had to ask if I needed a ride home.
