~ Our future ~ [Last chapter]

* 2 years later *

Today was the day. Graduation.
Austin and I were still going strong.We've been together for 3 years now. And I don't regret a single thing about it.

"Erin!!!!", Austin said while snapping his fingers in front of my face.

I snapped out of my gaze and fake glared at him.

"What?", I said trying to be annoyed and kinda pouted.

Austin pecked my lips.And that's when my act dropped. I couldn't contain my smile. I looked into the mirror for one last time and then walked downstairs. There , we were already highly awaited by Anne and Andy.

"Omg sweetheart ,you look so beautiful!!!",Anne gushed and pulled me into a hug.

"Thanks mom.", Aus said sarcastically.

"Come on. You look just as handsome and amazing."

Austin chuckled. He pulled me into his side and whispered:

"You look so beautiful baby girl. "

I smiled and in that exact moment we heard a 'click' and then Anne said :

"Perfect shot!"

We all laughed and took some other pictures. Afterwards we got into the car and made our way to the school. After our arrival we went into the assembly hall ,since it's where the 'ceremony' would be held.And the whole time Austin was by my side ,holding my hand and whiping the occasional tear away. Then after some ,kinda boring ,speeches it was time to go on stage. Our whole class stood together. Our teacher stood at an higher table and read her speech which made some of us cry and some even cry more. As she finished ,we all applauded and now it was time for our last report cards / graduation papers. We each made our way to her ,hugged her tightly ,got our papers and made our way back . After that we went back to our seats . That's when I broke down completely. Austin saw and just held me. It was such a simple gesture that left such a big effect on me. I cried and cried , and at some point questioned myself why I wore makeup .
After every class was on stage , we were dismissed. Everything after that was just like a fast time lapse because I didn't notice anything. Reality just hit me . Really hard.

We , as in Aus and I ,stayed behind and sat down on a bench. And we just stared at each other.

"This is it." , he breathed.

I nodded.

" I don't think I would ever say this ,but I'm gonna miss it a bit. Our class ,the team."

I chuckled.

Austin made me look up at him and kissed me passionately. I smiled into the kiss and after it even more. I got myself together and spoke up :

"You know .. I never thought that we would end up like this..together.I would've never in a million years thought that we'd be all we need. Just you and I. I didn't ever know that something so simple could be so effective. " , I smiled and kissed him.

" You and I ." , he whispered and kissed me , as if confirming, that each other is really all we would ever need to survive.

Our bond.
Our memories.
Each other's presence.
Our love.
