Question: Does a Woman unfasten her hair when performing ghusl?
Answer: Umm Salamah said
"O Messenger of Allah! I fasten the plaits of the hair of my head, so should I unfasten it when performing ghusl because of Janabah? He said, 'it is only sufficient for you to pour on your head three handfuls of water then pour water on the rest of your body and thus you will be purified."
