Alexis Pov
"So has anyone caught your eye?" My mom asked.
"Um" I say while my thoughts go to Grayson.
"No....Maybe.....I don't know it's complicated" I tell her.
"What's complicated about it?"
"I don't know"
We currently at the mall walking around having 'girl time' if you want to call it that.
"Hey! I am going to go get my eyebrows arched so do you wanna come or walk around?" my mom says
"Um I'll walk around"
"Okay do you need any money?"
"I have money." I replied.
"Okay. See you in a few." She says.
It's been a few hours of just walking around looking at stuff and going into stores buying some t-shirts and shorts. I walk into H&M, looking around, trying things on until I stop to a cute outfit which is a black crop top with a red plaid skirt along with black stockings and matching pumps. I pick up the outfit and shoes, taking them into the dressing room.
After trying on the clothes I look in the mirror, but in my reflection I don't see the same person I saw last time I went shopping. I see a young, beautiful, and strong woman that is confident in herself. But we all know that's not what anyone else sees.
Ring.
Ring.
Ring.
I look at my phone to see Deanna calling me.
"Hey Bitch!, what you doing"
"In H&M." I respond
"You went to the all mall without me? How rude" she yells in my ear
"I'm sorry my mom suggested we go to the mall and I️ wasn't really up for it but she made me go"
I️ here her sigh and tells me that she has to go.
"Alright bye" I hang up the phone, and change back to my regular clothes.
When I enter the food court I spot my mom talking to Mrs. Dallas. Just fucking great, just great.
"Hey mom and Mrs. Dallas." I approach them.
"Hi sweetie! And please call me Gina" Mrs. Dallas says
"Okay." I respond dryly
"Hey hun you alright?"My mother says
I️ give her a nod and looked away.
"Well we should get going, see you later" my mom says.
Okay, it was nice seeing you two" she hugs my mom and walks away
"Ready?" I ask my mom
"Ready and I had fun today, even knowing that we didn't spend time together" she says sounding a little sad
"It's okay, we can spend time with each other again" I assure her
