Kinsey stepped into the station's main common space and smiled to find it thronging with the latest generation of assembled people derived from the Librarian's rather vast collection. Several generations had already been put together from the DNA found in the collection, and he was seeing vast improvements in their behavior versus pacified humans.
"Hey, doc!" McCarty stepped out of the throng, Hippolyta close behind. Kinsey smiled to see the two were holding hands, Hippolyta much more demure in the station's standard overall than the outfit she had been wearing when the life boat had arrived.
The man responsible for saving the human race came a halt beside him before turning to look at the crowd.
"Some turn out, hey?"
"No thanks to you, Mr. McCarty," Kinsey quickly replied. "With the collection's retrieval, we've breathed new life into the human race."
"I couldn't have managed it without help," McCarty said, flashing Hippolyta a quick smile, which she shyly returned. Getting the Amazon to trust men of any sort was going to be hard, but Kinsey could see the man once known as Billy the Kid was making considerable progress.
"Now, all we have to do is hide long enough from the Revaat that they'll forget about us. Then build us a ship to get the hell out of here!" McCarty finished.
That, all by itself, brought a brilliant smile to Kinsey's lips.
"An admirable plan, Mr. McCarty," he said.
"A very admirable plan, indeed!"
