Very Short Chapter.
⚜ Alexis Fray⚜
Once we arrived, I started acting like a screaming twelve-year-old. And when I say that, I am not exaggerating at all.
"Holy flipping pancakes. It's the Statue of Liberty!" I screamed as I saw the big, green statue. "Can we go up there? Please!"
Liam chuckled. "What's the point of coming here, if we're not visiting the crown?" He asked as he parked the car. "By the way, interesting choice of language. However, my favorite is still 'holy flying cow balls'." He said and flicked my nose.
I muttered under my breath. "Tease."
"I still can't believe that you've never visited it before. And you've lived here for your whole life. I thought Jacob was joking when he said that." He said as he took my hand and started walking towards the entrance.
It was true, I lived here my whole life, and have barely been anywhere. But who can blame me? When my life was so horrible. It all went downhill, one he left us. And it got even worse, as more men came into my life. I shake my head. Not all of them are bad. Look at Liam.
As if sensing my discomfort. "Hey, are you okay?"
I put a smile on my face. "Yeah."
His smile disappeared from his face. "Oh my god, you're afraid of heights, aren't you? Shït. I should of ask you that before."
I laugh at how he's panicking and patted him on the shoulder. "No no, I was just thinking about something."
He looked at me as if he was searching to see if I was saying the truth. "Alright, whatever you say. I'm just trying to please Your Majesty."
"Your Majesty, Your Highness, Princess. These are such great names you know?" I said.
He put a finger to my lip. "Shhh, I'll call you as much as you want. Now let's have the best time of our lives." He said with his signature smirk.
Once we reached up to the place they called the 'crown'. My breath was literally stolen away. We could see practically everything. Not to mention that it was almost night time. A view like this, plus a dark night is a recipe for a view like this. No words could describe how it looked.
As a little girl, I always wanted to come here. However, never got the chance to.
"Hey, Alexis?" Liam asked beside me.
I turned to face him with a smile on my face. "Yeah?"
He reached into his pocket and brought out a box. I gasped. "Holy shït, if you're proposing to me.."
Liam threw his head backward and laughed. "You want to be Mrs. Slade already? I mean, we can make that happe-" I put a hand on his mouth to stop him from finishing that sentence. Then I felt something wet on my head.
"Ewe! You licked me." I said as I wiped my hand on his shirt.
"Hey, I wasn't the one who put a hand on my mouth." He said. "Now, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted. I got you a bracelet. There's only one charm on there now, but there'll be more soon." He said and scratched the back of his neck. "Do you want me to put it on you?"
I stretched out my hand. "Yeah." Once he put it on me, I got a better look. It was a silver chain with one single charm on it. If you looked closely, it's the same photo on our shirts. With today's date on the back.
"It's beautiful. I love it." I said and hugged him. Then I continued looking at the view.
"What? I don't even get a kiss?" He asked as he put his arm around me. I turned around and gave him a peck on the cheeks.
"That's it?" He whined like a little boy who was just given very little candy.
I tapped my chin. "Hmm, what do I get out of this?"
He started at me confused. "Uh, a free dinner?" He asked and shrugged his shoulders.
I hit him playfully on the arms. "I get that every day."
"Fine, how about, if you give me a kiss, I'll play a game with you."
I narrowed my eyes at him. "What type of game?"
"A question for a question." He replied.
"How is that beneficial to me?" I asked.
"I dunno, you could ask how I manage to be so hot all the time or how I keep this body as sexy as an Italian God." He said and gestured towards his body.
"Fine," I said and kissed him on the lips this time. "Happy? You go first."
"Alright, how are you so good as classes. And skip seventy percent of the time. Yet have a much better grade than me." He said.
I smiled. "Magic." To be honest, I secretly read over my textbook every night before I sleep. I'm ahead of the class by a lot. Not to mention that the teacher likes me and tells me the projects and stuff beforehand. However, I'd never tell Liam that.
"I see how it is. Fine, it's your turn." He said.
"Do you have a middle name?" I asked him.
"Yeah, it's Liam Magic Slade!" I see what he did there. "And you know what you're name will be soon?"
"No," I answered.
"Alexis Slade." His answer left me speechless.
Liam glanced at his watch. "Oh look! It's time for dinner. Come on!" He took my hand and we started to walk away from the railing.
Two words kept going through my head as he drove us to his 'super awesome' dinner place.
The two words were Alexis Slade.
You know, I stalk my book every day, to see the views going up. I start to believe that Wattpad is just lying to me. And the only people reading this are my friends. That is all.
In case you didn't realise. It was my way of saying to VOTE and COMMENT! If you do, I will LOVE you FOREVER.
