Halloween

Since all of us are back on good terms, we decide to do the whole, "drive-in movies" thing. Amber isn't coming because she's feeling sick again. Spencer decided to stay with her. Grace and Mike are going with Patrick and Daniel, so it's basically just gonna be Ashtyn and I in my truck.

I quickly put on my football helmet before knocking on her door. She opens it, smiling wide. When we see what we're both wearing, our smiles drop before we start giggling like idiots.

I'm in a football jersey, black skinny jeans, and a football helmet. She's in a full cheerleader costume. She looks amazing if I'm being totally honest.

When we end our fit of giggles, we get in my sexy black Chevy Silverado. It smells like axe in here, mostly from me wearing it right now, but also from the other times I've driven this truck, which is probably a total of seven times including now, which is strange because this is actually my favorite vehicle that's actually mine. That doesn't even make sense. You'd think I'd drive it more because I love it, but I guess not.

"So, Dominick. We haven't talked since we saw each other at the door. What's wrong?" I look at her before quickly turning back to the road.

"Nothing. I didn't mean not to talk. I just kinda got lost in my thoughts, I guess."

"Well you'd better talk about something or put on some good music, because it's a two hour drive, provided we stop for drinks and snacks." I laugh.

"Well you choose."

"Let's talk."

"Okay, but about what?" She groans, frustrated. I laugh.

"Quit laughing at me! I can't choose everything!" I laugh harder, which eventually makes Ashtyn laugh. I smile at her when we calm down. She just blushes and looks down.

"How about we listen to music?" She nods and turns on the radio. It's still on the hard rock station from the last time I drove. I go to change it because the song's a little intense. She stops me by grabbing my wrist, and it's only now I realize that she's totally jamming out. I honestly thought she was gonna hate this song.

We stop at the gas station about half an hour before we're supposed to be at the drive in. I park and Ashtyn and I both get out. I lock the doors before running to hold the gas stations door open for Ash. She thanks me before practically dragging me to the drinks and chips. We fill our arms and grab some of those long ass licorice ropes. I pay and we go back to my truck. After setting everything in the back of the cab, we get in.

About a quarter through the third movie, which isn't even very scary, Ashtyn turns to me. She just sits there staring for a few minutes before shaking her head and crawling under the blanket.

"What is it?" She sighs before taking a deep breath.

"Are you um.... Are you sure you're gay?" I nod.

"Yeah, why?"

"Hopefully, you won't mind when I do this." Before I can ask what she means, she's kissing me. After the initial shock wears off, she pulls away. "Dom, I am so so sorry. I shouldn't have done that." She tries to get up, probably to go find the other four, but I grab her wrist, turning her towards me. This time, I'm the one kissing her. Eventually, she starts kissing me back. When we pull away, we start giggling like idiots.

We go back to watching the movie, and all of a sudden, I feel her grabbing my hand. We lace our fingers, and I can't keep the grin off of my face. Eventually, I can't smile any longer, so I stop. A few minutes after that, Patrick pops up. Ash lets go of my hand as he gets in the bed of my truck.
