(Red's P.O.V.)
I watched Undyne leave and I sighed. I turned back towards the computer and started typing. I mumbled under my breath a few curse words after I heard a huge bang. She must be pissed then, since she slammed the door shut. I rolled my eyes a bit. Y'know, I'm going to kill whoever did this. Wait... What did I just say? I looked up from my work and felt my skull heat up. What..? Why was I so defensive all of a sudden? Well, by defensive, I mean wanting to kill the murderer. I shook my head and continued typing on the computer, thinking about the story Undyne just explained to me. But still, who the hell could have done it? And what's wrong with me?
---------------------
I yawned a bit and worked on the huge metal contraption hovering over my head in front of me. The light of the overhead lights reflected off the metal, light rays reaching a far distance in Blue's lab. I gripped the wrench tighter in my hand and continued to work when I heard the metal door open and footsteps walking down. I didn't come from behind the machine until her voice speak up."Uh, hey dude." Undyne said quietly. I came from behind the machine and wiped sweat from my head.
"Oh, hey." I said plainly.
"So... What's up? How's it coming? And what's that?" She asked curiously. I just rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"You ask too many questions. This is the regeneration machine. It's not anywhere close to being finished." I said, grunting a bit.
"Oh. Wait, that's not close to finishing? That's looks like the opposite!" She said, disbelieving what I just told her. I just gave her a slight glare.
"No. It's not close to finishing." I said bluntly, continuing to work. Undyne just looked at me and sighed, turning towards the door and walked up the stairs. I heard the door shut and sighed, continued to work. While working, a few bugs came up in the machine and I cursed every time that it did. I didn't have time for this. She needed to be brought back as soon as possible. I shook my head and mentally slapped myself for thinking that. What the hell is wrong with me? I growled under my breath and worked with a few wires.
-----------------
After a while, I wiped sweat from my head and looked up at the machine, knowing that it was almost done. And hopefully it actually works. But I wanted a bit more on the story I guess I could say, but I think I also know who could possibly help me with this project. But, he'll be really pissed, no doubt about it. I dropped the screw driver down and teleported up to the house, where I saw Undyne fast asleep on the couch. I took a quick glance up at Sans room and saw the door shut and locked, as usual. I looked over at the table and saw a certain flower 'asleep', yellow petals curled in on himself. I walked over and grabbed his pot, him jerking his head up and didn't have enough time to swear at me, as we already got to the lab. I put him down on the counter and he growled at me."What the hell do you want?! It's already bad enough that I have to deal with one smiley trashbag, I don't need to deal with another one!" Flowey snapped. I growled under my breath and my left eye glowed red.
"Look, I know you can help me with this. You know and I know. I know you know what to do. I need help with this." I said through gritted teeth. Flowey just looked at me and gave off a small laugh before glaring at me again.
"Ha! Do you really think that brat can be brought back? Nope. She can't. And I can already tell. You're starting to care about her, aren'tcha ? How cute. 'Cause if you didn't, you wouldn't be in such a hurry to get her back. So, what are you planning?" Flowey asked, giving me a smirk. I growled and my left eye flamed red.
"I'm doing this for Sans. Blue, I mean. He needs her. Papyrus and Frisk are the 2 people that means the most to him. I'm going to bring her back. And so what if I'm starting to care? She's important." I immediately widened my eyes a bit at that and growled under my breath. Flowey just gave a light chuckle and looked behind me at the machine.
"So, changing subject, what the hell is that?" I looked behind me and saw what he was referring at. I didn't say anything and lifted him up with my magic and pulled him out of the pot and he stuck himself in the ground.
"Wha-" Flowey asked, giving me a disbelieved look. I smirked at him and looked back at the machine.
"This is the regeneration machine. If it works, it will help her soul come back together and bring her back. Then again, IF it works." I muttered and explained. He looked up at me and looked ahead at the machine.
"Do you honestly thing she'll be back? Do you honestly thing this could work?" Flowey asked, uncertain. I didn't say anything at first and just stared ahead. I stuffed my hands in my black jacket pockets and sighed.
"... Yes."
"If you say so." Flowey said after a bit.
"I know so."
"You really are confident and determined to do this, aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"... Y'know, you and that comedian never really fail to surprise me. The stupid way I mean."
"I know."
"... So what do you want me to do?"
"Well, let's get started with it then." I muttered. I got to work again and he helped periods of time. Then, as the times went on, I started to think the machine was going to break down at the last minute. I couldn't afford that. No one could. That was a fact. Then, as time went on, we both kept getting second thoughts until the computer rung out, saying that the machine was ready. We both widened our eyes and looked back at the machine. Flowey immediately dug in the ground and reappeared from afar. I rushed over to the computer and typed in codes and words into the computer. Once it read 'compatible', I slammed my hand down on the button that fired the machine up. I teleported over with Flowey and watched the machine fire up and blink blinding lights. I covered my eye sockets a bit, but quickly put my arm away, unaffected. Things were going smoothly, until a metal pound rang out and Flowey whipped up to look at me.
"What is that?!" He yelled. I shook my head and continued to look ahead, praying that it's not breaking down, but as soon as it started to make more banging sounds, I then panicked, fearing the worst. I growled, swearing and started to rush towards the machine. But when I was close to it, I felt something wrap around my arms and looked down to see they were vines. I whipped my head behind me and saw Flowey glaring daggers at me.
"Leave it alone! It's probably already too late! Leave it be!" I was about to snap back at him until I was then sent back from the machine, slamming me into the floor and making me pass out...
---------------------------
I woke up wearily to Flowey shaking me with his vines. I jerked up and looked at him, rubbing my skull."Finally! You're awake!" Flowey said, irritated, his yellow petals a bit dirty from the smoke of the machine. The machine... Wait a sec.
"What-" I was cut off when our attention was turned towards the machine making a few noises. As soon as it was done, the machine door opened, black smoke filtering out. As soon as the smoke cleared, what we saw shocked us, which was Frisk collapsing out of the machine, hitting the floor unconscious.
