mother nature

the tell us that nothing in the depths of the oceans planets universe is as rawly beautiful as the beings mother nature crafted with weary hands from blistering lava and lifeless rock
but if the texture of ones check equivalents to the texture of the hills deer trees birds flowers rabbits children frolic on as a ball of fire placed in the perfect position between gases and stars illuminates an entire solar system
if any closer ashes would dance in our throats as we spit them back to a landscape of fire
if any further ice would tighten around our throats suffocating us from a planet of nothingness
and god forbid these hills are the same hue as the petals so breath taking breaths of writers romanticize it's being from century to century
representing every emotion lacing through a body at once stronger than any leaf she rooted into strips of green earth
raw beauty but if the pigment of ones skin is comparable to the very soil that roots of organisms intertwine through like the lace of the wedding dress the wife once wore to celebrate a lifetime together a lifetime ripped from her hands by a bullet
they are inevitably deemed dangerous and "if you fucking move i swear to god" "don't shoot don't shoot don't shoot don't shoot" shot silence
let there be outrage let waves of change rise from angry seas soaking the media in truths of acne and police brutality
i will not sit here with electric fingertips and feet emerged in quick sand as the values of mother nature the innocence of daisies the empowerment of fish swimming upstream are being shrunk into a monthly photograph in a calendar by the one percent
it is our job to mark the day of the week another innocent black man is laying in bloody pavement and the month another teenager commits suicide because their reflection does not reflect beautiful
let these waters fill your lungs hydrating you with dark realities but let them leave your lips as light of love and determination
we are going to start a flood clear waters cleaning blood from a dead corpse red water red water
