It's been four months since Shadow defeated the Black Arms, Everyone thought Sonic defeated them and Shadow didn't care that they did, Mobius was safe and that's all he had cared about.
"I made a promise that I would keep this planet safe." Shadow said "I don't care how it gets done, as long as it does". "Well okay Shadow" Sonic said in his usual snarky manner "Whatever you say". Sonic felt his stomach growl "I gotta run, Chili Dog break ya know". Sonic gave Shadow a smirk and dashed off. "Sometimes he can be a pain" Shadow scoffed and walked away with the green Chaos Emerald in hand.
Eggman's Fortress, a behemoth of a tower, as dark clouds are looming, a small shuttle is seen making it's way towards the base.
"Blasted weather!" Eggman groaned as he ran into his base in a hurry and in there Orbot and Cubot are working on their designated jobs. "Doctor" Orbot says in surprise "What is that in your hand?" Eggman gives Orbot a grin and pulls out the Cyan gem "A Chaos Emerald, What else could it be?", "You never get us anything while your out." Cubot exclaims disappointingly. "You are a ROBOT dimwit what could you possibly need?" Eggman yells, "Oh, Good point boss." Cubot says dumbly.
Sonic was sitting down enjoying a Chili Dog when he felt a tap on his shoulder, His body froze up as he feared for the worse then as he slowly turned around he heard the voice of his best friend Tails. "Um Sonic are you alright?" Tails looked at his friend with concerned eyes, Sonic breathed a sigh of relief "I thought you were Amy for a second." Tails looked at him with a bored expression "Whatever, Just look at this."
Sonic looked at the Chaos Energy Reader or CER for short and saw a reading for a Chaos Emerald that had more Chaos Energy than the others "Man that is a lot of energy!" "It just spiked up out of nowhere!" Tails added.
At the base of Eggman, Eggman is on the ground with a large chunk of the roof gone. "Ugh... What happened?" Eggman confusingly asked, "It appears something came out of the Emerald and took it then left." Orbot responded.
The creature is on the move, Chaos Emerald in hand, en route towards Angel Island.
