From: Derrick
Meet at our room?

Cara let out another sigh and quickly typed a reply to Derrick, telling him she was on her way. She then changed into a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and left on her white t-shirt from earlier, after making sure that her bra and underwear matched. She then grabbed her phone charged and stuffed it into her purse, along with her phone, and made sure her wallet was inside. "Hey, dad, I'm going to spend the night at Ellie's, okay?" She says to John as she grabs her car keys off of the counter island. "Cara, are you alright?" John asks her, causing her to stop her frantic movements. "I just, with everything that's happened with Blair, are you doing alright?" Cara sighs and licks her lips. "I'm doing what I need to do to cope, dad," She says. John walks around the counter and wraps his arms around his daughter. "I love you, Car. If you need to talk, come to me," He says, kissing the top of her head. She pulls back slightly and looks up at him. "Thanks, dad. I love you too,"  She kisses his cheek and steps out of his arms. "Alright, have fun at Ellie's," John ruffles her hair, causing her to playfully glare at him before she says goodbye and walks out to her car. As she got in, she sent a quick text message to Ellie.

To: Ellie
If anyone asks, I'm at your house. I'll explain later.

Minutes later, Cara pulled up in the parking lot of the Scarborough Motel and got out of her car. She fished the room key out of her purse and walked up to the door, unlocking it and stepping inside. She wasn't shocked to see the almost empty bottle of Jack Daniel's in Derrick's hand as he stood in front of the TV, that was playing a re-run of Criminal Minds. "Do you really think watching this show is a good idea right now?" Cara asks him as she takes the Jack Daniel's out of his hand and takes a drink. Derrick simply shrugs his shoulders and sits down on the edge of the bed, running his hand over his face. Cara sat her purse down at the small, circular table in the corner of the room right as her phone went off inside. She pulled it out and saw that she had a text message from Ellie.

From: Ellie
I'll cover for you, I gotchu babes. But you better explain later ;)

Chuckling at Ellie's response, Cara fished her charger out of her purse and plugged it into the wall, leaving her phone on the table to charge. She let out a gasp when Derrick suddenly placed his hands on her waist and pulled her into him. "I need you," He whispers in her ear, sending shivers up her spine. She spun around and wrapped her arms around his neck. "You can have me," She whispers back. "I'm all yours,"  With that, Derrick picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he spun around and laid her down on the bed, crawling on top of her as his lips crashed against hers.

~The Next Morning~

After a night of drinking, smoking and a lot of rough sex, Cara drove Derrick home, then called Ellie to come and pick her up from the park down the street from the Connors' house. "Can you take me to the motel?" She asks as she climbs into the passenger's seat of Ellie's car. Raising an eyebrow, Ellie nods and begins driving towards the motel. "I need to get a few things from inside," Cara tells Ellie as she gets out of the car. She stops in her tracks when she hears Ellie's door shut. "You don't have to come inside," She says. Hesitantly nodding, Ellie leans against the side of her car and watches Cara disappear into the room. Moments later, Cara walks back out with her purse and her phone in her hand. "Is this where you were last night?" Ellie asks her as they get back into the car. Cara simply nods in response. "Can I ask who you were with?" Cara turned her head to look at Ellie. "Somebody's full of questions this morning," She says, chuckling. Ellie laughs and pulls out of the parking lot. "Well, you did say you would explain why I had to cover for you last night," 'Damn it,' Cara thinks to herself. She let out a quiet sigh, knowing that she had to tell Ellie what she was doing last night, because Ellie was very good at seeing through people's bullshit. "I was with Derrick," Cara says hesitantly, causing Ellie to immediately pull over on the side of the road to turn and look at Cara. "Derrick? As in Derrick Connors? Blair's drug-addicted older brother?" Cara slowly nods her head, looking down and fiddling with her fingers. "Did... Did you guys...?" Cara again slowly nods her head. "Oh my God! Details! I want details!" Ellie exclaims, causing Cara to laugh at her best friend. "We drank a little, smoked a little, and fucked a lot," Cara says truthfully. Ellie bursts out laughing. "How long have you guys been... You guys?" She asks. Cara shrugs her shoulders. "It's been on and off for about a year now," She says. "But it's just sex, nothing else," Ellie smirks and rolls her eyes. "Mmhm, sure it is," With that, Ellie drove Cara home and they said their goodbyes. When Cara walked into her house, she was less than surprised to see that her father wasn't home. 'He's probably at work,' she thinks as she walks into the kitchen and grabs a bowl out of the cupboard, filling it with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. After pouring some milk into her cereal, she carries it into the living room and sits down on the couch, switching on the TV and watching her newest recording of "The Shannara Chronicles".

---

John walked into the house later that evening, and chuckled when he saw Cara passed out on the couch in the living room. He walked into the kitchen and got out the ingredients to make his homemade macaroni and cheese, Cara's favorite dinner. About ten minutes later, Cara walked into the kitchen, looking like a walker from "The Walking Dead". John chuckled at his daughter. "Sorry honey, did I wake you?" Shaking her head, Cara sat down at the counter island and put her head down. "How was Ellie's?"
