Lost at Sea ( Blue lagoon inspired.) *Completed*

Where Are We?

After a long time crying my tears were finally dry, and I was freezing, my body cold to the bones.

He hugged me tighter for a moment and then stood up, and entered inside the island, looking for shelter and a place to rest after our battle with the waves. There were trees everywhere, but no shelter. We looked for hours until finally found a stream where the water was crystal clear, very deep, but a very weak current. We stopped there, resting a bit, I was very thirsty but I didn't dare to drink. I was afraid of microbes, deseases.... but at the same time I was so parched... I sat down near the stream and rested my feet inside the water. The sky was clear after the storm and the temperature was going upwards. I was very hot.

"Nyx, how are you?"

"Tired, hot, and feeling like I am going to faint at any moment."

"When's the last time you've eaten?"

"2 days ago. I didn't eat anything before we boarded the ship and I got seasick, so I didn't eat anything on the ship as well. When the nausea passed and I was going to my room, I was going to eat, but... you know... here we are."

"You should have told me sooner. I could have hunted something already. Wait here. I'll be right back."

Dylan got up and disappear between the trees, while I kept sitting down on the stream.... The heat was really going up now and I thought I was going to faint if I tried to get up.

For the first time I took notice of the sounds surrounding me. There was bird calls everywhere, many melodies, it was quite beautiful actually.I dozed off, too tired to be afraid anymore.I dreamt I was in the hospital with my mother, remembering how she forced me to come on this trip. I saw, as if from above, the moment police officers entered in her room, telling her I was missing. That a freak wave had swept me out of the boat and how another guy had jumped in to my rescue, only to be missing as well. She started crying and her heart moniter raised too high, sending in two nurses to check in on her. They sent the police officers outside the room, one of them staying outside, explaining her condition. Sudenly, my mother's heart stopped, and the alarms sounded, sending a big team of doctors inside her room. I saw her body convulse, and her breathing stop. My heart was breaking inside my chest and I was screaming at the top of my lungs but it seemed as if nobody could hear me. I cried, the moments crept forward and her heart still didn't beat. I heard someone calling me from a distance, but I did not want to leave, my mother was dying, I had to stay here, I had to know... The voice kept trying to wake me up, but I refused to leave my dream. I wanted to see my mother live. Finally, when I had lost all hope, her heart started beating, and my dream faded.

I woke up in a dark place, there were no trees, no sky or stars. I kept hearing a scratching noise near me and suddenly the light of fire iluminated the space we were.

"Where are we Dylan?"

"I went looking for things to eat and I managed to catch a rabbit. But when I got back to get you, you were passed out. I tried calling you, but you didn't wake. I got worried. The sun was setting and we needed a place to shelter. I found a cave, but there were lots of bats there, so I just found a stone that could serve as a wall, and made a caban. It's not perfect, because I need help, but it will work for tonight. I carried you here after I finished and just finished lighting the fire. I found a sharp rock which I used to skin and gut the rabbit, so I just need to cook it now. How do you feel?"

"Sick. Weak. I think I got sick from the sea. My throat hurts, I am dizzy, I am cold... so very cold..."

"Don't worry. I'll take care of you."

"How? We are in a deserted Island. We have no medicide, no doctors... and my mother almost died. I saw it, her heart stopped." I started crying bitterly, knowing my mother needed me, and that  I was not there for her.
