Hunted

Jaden woke from his sleep after only an hour he knew because clear was still in sleep mode beside him after what was probably the most amazing experience of his life. Still seeing clear the way he was he'd noticed that this was the first time he'd ever really seen clear sleep. He'd told jaden before he only required about two to three hours of sleep after using energy. And after what happened clear must've been drained fast. Jaden took a moment to apreciate this moment he didn't know how often he'd get to see clear like this. He thought clear finally looked so peacful sleeping next to him. Jaden can hear slow shallow breaths from clear as he slept, it almost made him barely even notice the fact he was a machine. It made this moment even better thinking that. Jaden lightly brushed clears bangs and gave him a gentle and tender kiss on his cheek.
*Jaden* (Sighs gently) I love you...
Jaden remembered that the shower downstairs still worked and the hot water as well, but since the apartment was still cold he'd have to be quick. Jaden hurried downstairs without waking clear and hopped in the shower. The water felt amazing on his skin.
*Jaden* oh my god that feels good heheh.
As he gets himself cleaned up he finishes shower and dries off. Although he didn't want to leave the lovely feeling of the hot water he eventually had to. He gets out and the cold air sends a shiver down his spine immediatly.
*Jaden* Damn I should get back in bed soon it's gonna start freezing again stupid cold.
Clear stirred and woke from his sleep and suddenly became frightened. His lover was not beside him and after what he'd been through he though that Jaden had dissappeared like everyone else did.
*Clear* !...Jaden?....
Clear jumps out of bed frantically and runs down stairs he'd thought something terrible had happened.
*Clear* Jaden!!....Jaden!!!
Clear here's noise coming from the bathroom and bursts through the door in tears.
*Jaden* !!! clear?
*Clear* Huff huff Jaden......y...you...weren't in bed i......I thought you were
Jaden the. Realised what a terrible thing he'd just done not saying anything before going downstairs.
*Jaden* omg Clear I'm sorry i...
clear starts to cry a little from the stress and worry.
*Clear* Why....why did you leave without saying anything?..I thought you were gone.
The pain in clears face was like needles being shoved into Jadens heart. After the loss clears been through losing everyone he's loved waking up to no one for years and he just had to experience this again after finally finding someone. Jaden felt horrible for leaving clear alone and the guilt struck him like a punch in the face.
*Jaden* Cl....clear I'm so sorry...I'm sorry
Jaden runs up and hugs clear tightly and caresses his back and head. Clears still sobbing.
*Clear* D...don't ever do that again...I thought you were just a dream I thought up, or that you left, died...or...or. (Sobbing)
*Jaden* Shhhh it's ok....it here clear...I'm right here...I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you like that.
*Clear* don't leave me.
*Jaden* I wont.
Jaden straightens clears head and gives him a kiss on the lips and both of them return to bed to sleep until daybreak.
Once morning finally arrived Clear and Jaden had finally got up and started packing for another trip to the city for supplies. This was the second time they'd be going out for supplies.
*Jaden* Hey..clear.....are you okay?
Jaden remebers clears fear from last night and tries to comfort and console him. Not just for clear but to reassure himself that everything will be okay today.
*Clear* (Sigh) Yes I'm okay now.
*Jaden* Okay again...I'm really sorry.
*Clear* Its okay Jaden...I forgive you.
Both of them make there amends and head out. Clear locks everything and shuts off all the power before they leave to secure the house and save energy.
*Jaden* so...where are we heading today?
*Clear* were gonna get some feal cells for the house and hopefully find parts to fix the heater. Theres a junk shop Aoba used to work at that's still standing....there should be things we need There It is a junk shop after all.
*Jaden* you really think there will be anything left?
*Clear* Absolutely I just know it.
*Jaden* Hehe okay.
*Clear* Alright then let's go Jaden.
Jaden nods to clear and clear starts up the motorcycle and the make there way back to town.
*Jaden* Hey clear?
*Clear* yeah?
*Jaden* It seems there's no androids or sentinels our here today too whats going on? have they Givin up?
*Clear* Hmmm it is a bit weird since you were so important to there primary objective. It's not like them to give up. Well maybe it's nothing perhaps they've run low on power and gone into recharge, they do that from time to time, there isn't much energy left in the city anymore.
*Jaden* Oh okay...well I guess that makes sense...so does that mean we're safe for today?
Clear seemed to hesitate when Jaden asked that question.
*Clear* .....uh...well not exactly.
*Jaden* Huh?
*Clear* Well I mean anything could happen so don't let your guard down okay.
*Jaden* Okay...
Jaden and clear had been driving for a while when finally they came across the old junk shop clear told him about.
*Jaden* So this is where my uncle used to work huh?
The place was completely decayed and barely standing clear turns off the motorcycle and the two head inside.
*Clear* Hah this place brings back memories.
Jaden couldent help but notice the far off look in clears eyes, it was obvious clear was thinking of better times..times when he was happy with aoba.
*Jaden* Clear....
There was a very awkward silence for a moment but then clear finally spoke.
*Clear* well let's find those parts then huh.
Clear began searching around for what he needed and Jaden went to the other side of the store and looked around. The place was cluttered with dusty old machine parts and knick knacks from half a century ago. Things Jaden remembered before he got frozen when he was still living with people in a better time. Jaden can hear clear digging around for stuff behind the counter and rumaging through junk for valuables. Jaden suddenly starts to feel uneasy for some reason and turns to check on clear. A feeling in the pit of his gut aches. Like something was watching them.
*Jaden* C....clear I don't feel right.
*Clear* Huh?
Cleat speaks without looking
*Clear* What's wrong
*Jaden* I feel uneasy about something. Like someone's watching us.
Cleat pops up from behind the counter and them his eyes widen with fear what he sees stops his breath in a silent gasp.
*Clear* GASP J....Jaden.
*Jaden* Looks at what clears looking at...something on his chest. He looks down and notice a red dot of some sort.
He looks up to clear.
*Jaden* Cle....clear....
A loud bang sounds and sudden blood shoots from Jadens arm in a targeted spot.
Clear drops everything in shock knowing full well Jaden had just been shot by a bullet. Jaden falls to the ground in slow motion.
*Clear* J....JADEN!!!!!!!!!!!
