The Truth

*Jaden* it is...its a voice..I..hear singing?

(Soft Singing)

*Jaden* Clear?..Is that him?..Maybe if i just sneek up to the door i can have a listen, WAIT..NO Clear told me not to bother him, I should respect his wishes, hes been generous enough to take me in so...I'll just leave it Be.

Trying to drift to sleep Jaden cant help but listen to the melody coming from upstairs it was like a force drawing him to it. It was like no song Jaden had ever heard. It was somewhat happy but it contained a Great Sadness as well. Jaden felt as tho he could cry from the sound of the song. He had finally had enough and crept up the dark staircase as quietly as he could trying not to alert Clear of his presence. The song kept going. Jaden had approached and was right outside the door when he heard the singing had stopped Jaden became extremely nervous. Had he been discovered?

(Soft sobbing)

Through the door Jaden heard the faint sound of crying still keeping quiet he heard what souded like a video of some sort or audio of another persons voice.

(Speaking to himself queitly)

*Jaden* ...?

The sound of a mans voice. A diferent man.

*Voice* I...I love...you....

(The sounds of sobbing grew weak)

Eventually Jaden heard nothing. He decided he'd eavesdropped long enough and turned quietly back to head towards the living room.

*Clear* ...Jaden

(Clears voice spoken in a soft tone almost menacingly)

Jaden stopped dead in his tracks his eyes grew Wide. his heart pounding out of his chest.

*Jaden* (whimpering) Oh no
*Clear* ...what do you think your doing?..Did you think I didn't hear you? We're the only 2 here what else could I blame for noises outside my door.
*Jaden* (Terrified beyond belief) C..c...clear wait i can explain.
Clear walked closer to Jaden one step at a time.
*Clear* Perhaps i didnt make myself Clear before. Stay away from the upstairs bedroom!
*Jaden* b...but you were singing...i heard you..your voice its...its beautiful.
*Clear*.....
*Jaden* and you...you were crying why...did something happen to you Clear?
*Clear* Its none of your business.
*Jaden* WELL WHY CANT IT BE MY BUSINESS! damnit clear why won't you connect with me im the only other person on this planet You have to talk. SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?
*Clear* Tsk....
Clear jumps across the gap closing the distance between the 2 of them and grabs Jaden by his collar.
*Jaden* GAH...ahhhhh! Let me go! Whats wrong witb you! Why did you even bother saving me huh! Why did you even save me...the one person left on this failing planet to just ignore me It doesnt make any sense!!!!!
*Clear*.....
*Jaden* all I've tried to do is be nothing but nice to you and you done nothing but avoid me! WHY WHY WHY...is it me? Do you hate me? All i wanted was someone to deal with this pain together the pain of being alone and afraid.

(Jaden starting to tear up)

*Clear* ....you dont know

(Clear whispers under his Breath)

*Jaden* is it so bad to have a friend! Is it so bad to be nice to someone, to connect with someone!?

Clear finally raising his voice

*Clear* YES IT IS!!!! you dont understand.....youll never understand....because youll never live long enough to know the pain....the pain of knowing and loving people who are never going to last!!

Jaden gasped unable to comprehend what Clear is saying.

*Jaden* wha.....what are you saying?
*Clear* You wouldent dare justify yourself if youve known what ive lost, what ive endored..WHAT IVE SUFFERED THROUGH!!!

(Clears voice growing into a sad sob)

*Jaden* THATS IT YOUR NOT MAKING ANY SENSE!!! Let...ME....GO!!!

Jaden squirms around in clears ridiculously strong grip and then he gets a hand free and punches clear as hard as he can in the face. His mask is knocked off his face. Clear Lets out a shocked Gasp and falls to the floor trying to cover his face...but it was too late Jaden had already seen him. Clear looks up Jaden staring into his eyes for the first time.

*Jaden* .....

Jaden has stopped everything and now stares at clears face in shock.

*Jaden* you...your...beatiful.
*Clear* ugh...hnnnng

Once silent begins screaming and crying uncontrollably out loud. He curled up in a miserable state.

*Clear* There.... (Sobbing) ....now you've seen me are you happy...I never wanted you to see me.
*Jaden* why did you want to hide yourself Clear what going on please.....please tell me the truth.

Jaden kneels down next to the hysterical clear and takes him in his arms like a freightened child being comforted by a parent

*Jaden*....Clear....Clear please open up to me...it wont hurt to share please tell me whats happening....WHO ARE YOU?
*Clear* not who am I....what am I.
*Jaden* Huh What do you mean?
*Clear*......Jaden.....the reason i didint want to let you in....the reason i was distant is because.....im not human.
*Jaden* (in shock) wh.....what? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?
*Clear* im not human Jaden....im a machine created to be as close to human as possible.
*Jaden* n....no...it cant be....you......I....I was next to you I felt your heartbeat your body heat when we were hiding from the sentinel I could've swarn.....but how? You...your the person from that picture downstairs arent you?
*Clear* (sighs) yes thats me.
*Jaden* unbelievable but that doesnt explain why you saved me in the first place....you couldeve just let me die...and what was with all the crying and hiding and going upstairs.... and the singing.
*Clear* thats.....those....are all parts of me I just cant let go of.
*Jaden* huh?
*Clear* you see Jaden the reason i saved you the reason i get so sad around you...its because.....you look...like....him.
*Jaden* Him?
