What is love?
Love is realizing
From out of the blue
One day
That your favorite color is
The color of their eyes
And that your favorite noise is
The sound of their laugh.
It is the sudden realization that
Even though you argue and you bicker
And you fight like tomorrow will never come
You are willing to stay by their side.
Love is the sound of your heart thumping
In your ears as you descend into the
Unknown
Or the sound of waves crashing against
Rocks as you stand on top of the world
And it comes in many, many different forms
And lives in many different beings
As something that takes all of the smallest
Happiest things and bunches them up
Together into the biggest significance
Of your life.
That is love.
