Yeahhhhhh, I'm discontinuing this book.

Now, I know I may not be your favorite person as I say this, but this book is probably the worst I've ever written. And not because the writing style is bad, but because the story is boring as hell to write. It's going to closely follow the original Gravity Falls storyline, so it's reaaaalllly insaneeellly borrrrinnng to type it all.

Since I really hate this book (yeah, I said it, I hate one of my own books), I'm not going to write it anymore. What I will do is tell you the few twists and major plot points that I was going to have. Here goes:

All the stuff happens with Ford and the portal and stuff...

Dipper and Pacifica hang out and become really close...

Ford shows Dipper the rift...

Dipper's deal with Bill forces him to give it up...

Pacifica somehow finds out about everything...

...

You know what? I actually want to write the ending, since it differs insanely from the original story. So all of the stuff from above happens... And now we're in the middle of this huge confrontation between Bill, Dipper, and Pacifica. Dipper still has the rift, and both Pacifica and Dipper understand what will happen if Bill gets it... so here we go.

...

Dipper and Pacifica stood side by side, staring in horror and defiance at the being in front of them: Bill, the Dream Demon. Well, the inside was Bill, anyway... He was currently possessing Blendin Blandin so that he could physically interact with them. The wind swirled around them, and there were blue fires raging at their feet.

"Come on, Pine Tree!" Bill insisted, holding his hand out expectantly. "A deal's a deal! I get the rift!"

Feeling the magic of the deal compelling him, Dipper was shaking with the effort of holding the item of destruction. "No, Bill! Weirdmageddon can't happen! This deal is off!"

"Oh, but are you sure you want that, Pine Tree?" Bill laughed. "After all, you'd have to sacrifice your half of the deal, too... That IS how things work."

As Dipper froze in horror, Pacifica grabbed his arm. "Do it, Dipper! Call off the deal! What could possibly be more important than saving the world?"

Staring into her eyes, Dipper couldn't hold the secret in any longer. "You! You were dying, and in exchange for the promise, Bill saved you!" Pacifica's eyes widened as Dipper continued to scream, "I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you before. And now it's too late! I can't sacrifice you, and I can't sacrifice the world! No matter what, we've... lost..."

After a few seconds of silence, Pacifica spoke. "No." Dipper looked up to see a look of grim determination on her face. "We haven't lost." Pacifica grabbed the rift, striding up to Bill. "The deal's off, Cipher."

Bill looked temporarily confused. "Wait... What?"

"I said... the deal's off," Pacifica repeated, stuffing the rift in her bag. "And that's that." In that second, something in the air changed. It felt as if a ten ton weight was lifted from Dipper's shoulders... And that's when he realized what happened. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as Pacifica fell to the ground, shuddering. He dashed over to her broken form, where she laid just as she had been before Bill healed her that fateful day. Broken ribs. Ruptured lungs. Bleeding out.

"Pacifica!" Dipper gasped, holding her close to him. "Hold on, I'll get you to a hospital-"

"There aren't... any... remember?" Pacifica panted, smiling. "You'll just have to... let me go."

"No!" Dipper screamed, squeezing her shoulders. "Why, Pacifica? Why? I wouldn't care if the world was brought to an end; at least then I'd have you with me!"

"You can't change anything, Dipper..." Pacifica whispered, stroking his face with a bloody hand. "Just... one last thing." She brought something green out from her jacket pocket: a ten dollar bill. "I... want to pay you... to forget me. That way... memories of me... won't hurt you..." She broke out into a coughing fit, and flecks of blood flew onto Dipper's cheeks.

Dipper broke into tears as he cradled her head in his arms. "No... You can't pay me." With that, he leaned down and brought his lips to hers, his tears dripping onto her face. The kiss broke, and Pacifica mumbled something in Dipper's ear...

And then...

Nothing.

By the time the citizens of Gravity Falls came to investigate the commotion, Blendin had returned to his body and returned home, leaving two twelve year olds lying on the ground... One unconscious, knocked out from shock... And the other dead in his arms.

Sometimes, it takes great sacrifice to gain something important.

Not all stories have a happy ending. Some are meant to be told just the way they are: mercilessly.

Sacrifice for the greater good.

Sadness for the rest of someone's life.

Because there's really no way to win life, you just have to live it...

Live on, even if you feel down, even if you feel like you'll never be happy again.

Live.

Live.

Live.
