Katelyn
Phoenix Drop

We were all at the guy's house, just lounging around. Aaron was playing something on his guitar, and the rest of us were just watching TV.

I felt an arm wrap around me, and heat rose to my cheeks.

I looked to my side to see Travis looking back to me.

"T-Travis," I said hesitantly.

"S-sorry!" He winced, tugging his arm away.

"You're lucky I'm in a good mood." I smiled to him. "Or else I would've punched you."

  He smiled back.

I looked back to see Aphmau and Aaron just smiling at one another. They were perfect for each other.

  I sighed.

My eyelids felt heavy. It was around midnight.

I leaned on Travis unintentionally, yawning.

"Katelyn?" Travis asked. "You can stay the night if you want. You're super tired."

"I.." I really couldn't refuse. I don't even think I could make it to my bed. "Sure. I'll sleep on the couch."

"No. You can sleep in my room. Come on."

Before I had time to object, he grabbed my hand, tugging me with him.

He stepped down the stairs, pulling me with him into his room.

He held the door open for me, and motioned to the bed. I ran over to it, collapsing under the blankets.

"Thanks, Travis." I yawned. "I'll see you tomorrow."

  "No problem." He smiled.

And the last thing I heard before I blacked out was his voice.

  "Sleep tight, my love."

Beep.

Beep.

    Beep.

"Damnit." I growled, reaching for my phone.

My alarm went off at 6; the time I get up for work. I guess I forgot to turn it off for the weekend.

I sat up, looking around the dark room. I barely could see anything.

I looked down to the ground, seeing my shoes.

Before I put them on, I looked around again, seeing Travis passed out on the couch next to his bed.

I walked over to him, staring at him for a minute.

His silver hair flopped perfectly over his face, and I couldn't help but push it back behind his ear.
