DA:  Ambrose here.

Caller:  Hello, this is Sally Andrews of Ohio Child Protective Services.  This is about your seven-year-old son, Riley.

DA:  Riley?  What about him?  Did something happen?

SA:  He and his mother, Kallie, were in a car wreck.  His mother died, but he made it out with minor injuries.  Unfortunately, Kallie has no other known relatives.  She has instructed that if anything were to happen to her, you were to be given custody of Riley.

DA:  Wow.  I'll have to make arrangements with my boss, and I will be there as soon as I can.

“So,”  Seth Rollins asked, walking over with Roman Reigns, “what was that about?”

“Kallie,”  Dean Ambrose told his friends,  “She died in a car wreck and left my seven-year-old son Riley in my care.”

“Luckily,”  Seth told him, following the route on a map, “we'll pass through Cincinnati on our way to Indianapolis.”

“So, we might be able to grab Riley and then head to Indianapolis.”

“If you can clear it with the boss that is.”

“Dean Ambrose here to pick up my son, Riley,”  Dean told the receptionist.

“I'll go get him for you,”  She said.

“Daddy!”  A little boy with curly, sandy-blond hair said a few minutes later, seeing Dean.

“Riley!”  Dean said,  “How's my boy?”

“Mommy's gone, the car took her,”  Riley replied, tears in his eyes.

“I know, but guess where we're headed.”

“Where?”

“Survivor Series in Indianapolis.”

“Really!”  Riley said, his mood brightening.

“Really.”

“Cool.  I can't wait.”

The two of them walked out to the car.  Seth was playing a game on his phone, and Roman was reading a book.

“Riley,”  Dean introduced his two friends,  “This is Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.”

“Hi,”  Riley asked them, “Are you going to Survivor Series, too?”

“Yeah, we are,” Seth answered,  “You excited?”

“Yeah,”  Riley squealed,  “I'm gonna see John Cena, and CM Punk, and and Randy Orton.”

“Nice, Seth, nice,”  Roman said,  “get him going before the trip, why don't you.”

“Here,”  Dean said, strapping Riley into his seat and giving him John Cena, CM Punk, and Ryback action figures.

“So,” Riley asked Seth, who happened to be sitting next to him,  “Whatcha gonna do at Survivor Series?”

“It's a surprise,”  Seth replied.

“Awww...I bet it'll be something fun!”

“Maybe.”

“Daddy, can I go with you when you do what you're gonnna do?”  Riley asked Dean.

“No, it'll be too dangerous.  You'll be staying in back while we're out there.”

“Awww…,”  Riley gave his dad “puppy-dog eyes”,  “Pretty please.”

“Absolutely not.  I don't want you getting hurt.  I've already lost your mom.”

“Nice try, though,”  Seth told Riley,  “Maybe after Survivor Series is over, we'll take you around to meet everyone.”

“Yaaay!”  Riley cheered,  “I'm gonna meet Kofi, and Rey-Rey, and and Mick Foley, and and R-Truth.”

“Great, Seth, just great,”  Dean said, “I was hoping that he would eventually fall asleep on the way to the hotel.”

“Sorry,”  Seth replied,  “But he's not the only one excited about Survivor Series.  I can't believe that I finally get to go to the event that I've heard so much about.”

“Hey, Riley,”  Dean asked, undoing his son’s seat belt, “What do you want from McDonald’s?”

“Hmmm…,”  Riley answered, hopping out of the car, “Chicken nuggets, and apples, and pop.”

“No pop,” Dean told him, “you’re getting juice.”

Once inside, Riley grabbed Seth and pulled him toward the Playplace.

“Riley, Seth,”  Dean told them before ordering the food, “don’t do anything stupid, got it?”

“Got it,” they told him before heading out the door.

Once outside, Riley took off his shoes and stood outside the play structure.

“Hey, Uncle Sethie, you wanna play with me?” Riley asked.

“I don’t think that they want people like me up there, but I do like the design and theme on this one.”

“Huh?”

“If you look it’s got a spiral slide with tie-dye circles around it, a straight slide with stripes, and the tubes have a lot of twists and turns.”

“Oh.”

“Then again, the design is making me want to take you up on your offer,” Seth said, staring at the designs on the tubes and slides.

“Yaaay!” Riley cheered, pulling Seth up the steps of the play structure.

Once inside, Seth followed Riley through the twists and turns of tubes and tunnels.  As they got to the front of the structure, though, Dean and Roman arrived with the food.

“Hey, Dean, did you see what I thought I saw?”  Roman asked.

“I was just looking at Riley waving at me.  Why?”

“I thought I saw Seth’s two-toned hair up in the tunnels.”

“God, I hope he doesn’t get stuck up there,”  Dean said walking over to a mic-tube and shouting into it, “Riley, Seth, time to eat.”

Dean’s voice echoed through the tunnels.  Riley crawled over to the spiral slide and came down it,  while Seth came down the straight slide.

“Hey, Seth,”  Dean said, “you do know that you weren’t supposed to be up there, right.”

“Ha-Ha-Ha,” Seth laughed, “I just wanted to see what the rest of the play structure looked like.  And besides, it looked like fun.”

“It’s really neat up in there,”  Riley added, dipping one of his nuggets in his sweet & sour sauce, “there’s this bubble with a window that you can look at the street and see the cars passing, and a tube with a ladder that leads to another tube that leads to the spiral slide, and and a curvy tube that goes up to the straight slide.”

“Ha-Ha,” Roman laughed, “with that kind of tube leading to the slide you came down, Seth, I’m surprised that you didn’t get stuck.”

“There was an alternate route to the slide,” Seth told them, “I used it so that I didn’t get stuck.”

“So that was you I saw crawling up in the tubes.”

“Who else do you know with two-toned black and blonde hair?”

“You’re the only one I know with that kind of hair, Uncle Sethie,” Riley answered.
