MANAN- YOU ARE STILL THE ONE

CHAPTER -24

Manik got worried as to where Nandini had disappeared suddenly.

He searched the entire college but Nandini was nowhere.

Manik went to Nandini's hostel but she wasn't there as well.

Manik wondered where Nandini had gone all of a sudden without informing.

Dejected by his inability to find Nandini, Manik returned home.

In the Meantime,

Nandini was in a train going to her house in Pune.

Nandini had received a call from her home informing that her grandmother had been admitted to hospital and she was very critical.And she wanted to talk to Nandini.

Nandini's family had asked her to come back home immediately.

In a hurry Nandini didn't get time to inform anybody nor had time to go to the hostel.

As soon as she kept the call, Nandini immediately changed her dress and took her bag and rushed to the station.

Nandini Didn't notice that her phone had got switched off.

She reached Pune and immediately took a cab and went to the hospital.

Her entire family was present there.

They informed Nandini that her grandmother was in I.C.U.

Nandini took permission of the doctor and went inside.

Nandini GM was lying on the hospital bed with her eyes closed.

Nandini - Dadi.....

As soon as Dadi heard Nandini's voice, she opened her eyes.

Dadi- Nanhi aagayi tu.

Nandini - Haan Dadi.

Dadi- Yahan aa mere paas.

Nandini went and sat near Dadi.

Nandini had tears in her eyes but controlled and said- Kya Dadi aap bhi na. Kitna dara dia aapne. Ab kaisi tabiyat hai aapki.

Dadi smiled and said- Ab tu agayi hai na to mai bilkul theek hijaungi.

A nurse came inside and asked Nandini to go out as the patient needed rest.

Nandini nodded and left .

She came outside and started crying .

Nandini's family consoled her and asked her to wipe her tears.

Nandini asked the doctor about Dadi's condition.

Nandini- Dadi theek to hojayenge na?

Doctor - Next 24 hours are very critical. If she is able to survive this period then she will be completely out of danger.

Saying this he went away.

Nandini went and sat at the bench outside the ICU  and after few minutes,she fell asleep in sitting position as she was too tired of the journey.

Few hours passed by and she woke up when someone tapped her shoulder.

Nandini opened her eyes and saw that her sister was standing there with two cups of coffee.

Nandini took the cup and said- Varsha kya hua tha Dadi ko. Yoon achanak.

Varsha thought for sometime and said- Chodo ye sab baatein. Tum batao how is your college going on.

Nandini - It's going good. Intact aaj hi Maine do competition Jeete hai.

Varsha - Oh wow. Congratulations. Not bad huh....
