Hailey and her 4yr old son Kane move into a new house in uptown New York after her boyfriend of 7 years cheated on her. When a new man comes into her life that is twice her age will she fall for him?
"Would you like a water or something" i said to Jeffrey as we sat down in the porch "um yes please a water would be fine" he said i walked into the house and got two waters and a juice drink for Kane. I handed jeffrey his drink and called for Kane he came running inside "do you like it" I asked "yesssss" he yelled jeffrey and I both started laughing "what do you say to Jeffrey" I asked him he looked at Jeffrey "thank you" he said "your welcome happy you like it" Jeffrey said and high-fived Kane. I handed Kane his drink "i love you" I told him "me love you" he said and ran outside to play. "He's a cute kid. Where did the name Kane come from?" Jeffrey asked I started laughing "thank you and I have no idea that's what his father wanted and I thought it was a cool name" I told him

He laughed a little and played with his beard "that's a good answer" he said "speaking of his father, where is he? if you don't mind me asking" he asked I looked at him then at Kane "he's back at our old house about 2 hours from here" I told him "is he coming" he asked "Umm no we aren't together anymore I found out he was cheating on me so I bought this house and took Kane and we left" I said and looked at him I could see the sympathy in his eyes "I'm so sorry, how long were you guys together" he asked "um since I was 20 so 7 years" I said back and looked back a Kane who was climbing up the stairs to go down the slide, I smiled "so it's hailey hailey what?" He asked "hailey Baker" I told him and got up to walk inside to get another water Jeffrey followed. He was leaning against the counter I gave him a water and leaned against the other side of the counter. Jeffrey just stood there and kept looking at me "what" I asked and smiled he got closer to me and my heart started racing. He got close enough to where the word personal space was no more he leaned in towards me and kissed me I didn't hesitate and kissed him back. He put his hands on my hip I ran my fingers in his hair. "MOMMY" I heard Kane yell from outside I stopped the kiss and lightly pushed him away "hailey im sorry I don't know why I did that" he said I opened the door and walked to Kane "push me please" he asked "ok how about you tell Jeffrey thank you one more time because he has to go back home" I told Kane and looked at Jeffrey "thank you" Kane told him again "your welcome, I'm sorry hailey" he told me and started walking. I start pushing Kane JEFFREY'S POV I walked in to my house and checked my phone hey I'll be over in 5 i read from my friend Norman. I went and sat down on my couch, I can't believe I kissed her shes never going to talk to me again. I got up and opened the door and Norman walked in "hey who's the new people who live across the street" he asked "um a girl and her son" I told him and we went and sat down on the couch "have you met them yet" he asked as I turned on the tv "yea her name is hailey and her sons name is Kane he's 4" I told him "hailey? With a son named Kane? Is her last name Baker? She's got long brown hair and brown eyes" I looked over at him shocked but didn't say anything "and she's got and baby's foot Tattoo on her forearm that says Kane in it and a number 7 on the side of her wrist" he asked I was still just staring at him, he just described exactly what she looked like "what the fuck. How do you know all that" i asked him "holy shit you don't know who she is do you" he asked in shock "no but it probably would've been good to know who she was before I kissed her a couple minutes ago" I told him his eyes got huge "you fucking kissed her? How long have you known her for" he asked "I met her yesterday I built her boys swing set this morning for them, we both went into the house to get water and I kissed her she kissed back then her kid yelled for her and she pushed me away, told the kid to say bye because I had to go back home" i told him "so you really don't know who she is" he asked "no who the hell is she" I asked "she's a singer they call her the girl version of Eminem but for rock" he told me I just looked at him "she didn't say anything about being a singer" I told him "did you say anything about being a actor" he asked "no" I responded back "ok then" he said "how do you know so much about her" I asked him "my son likes her a lot and I kinda like her too" he told me HAILEY'S POV As the day went on my best friend ashley came over we just hung out and played games with Kane and tried adding more stuff to the house. While we did all of that I couldn't get the kiss out of my head. I liked the kiss, I didn't even hesitate to kiss him back, but i know nothing about him. As bed time rolled around I put Kane to bed and ashley and I watched tv "have you met any neighbors yet" she asked me "um yea the one across the street his name is jeffrey he's actually the one who built the swing set for Kane" I told her "what he built the whole thing" she asked confused "yea he helped me get it out of the truck yesterday, we woke up and he was putting it together" I told her "aww that's so sweet" she said I just smiled. It was around 1:30AM when she left I was so tired I brushed my teeth changed my clothes and went to bed
