I had peeked my head into the front door to see it had been completely empty and dark. I slowly slid my left foot in front of my right foot, and reach in for the light switch. The lights flickered until the whole hallway lights had turned on. It seemed as if no one had been home, considering it was only 8 P.M. I motion for her to come inside, she looked confused as why I was doing what I was doing. I kept my index finger on the center of my lips so she wouldn't be so loud. I pushed her down to hide by the steps as I go to knock on Luke's bedroom door to see if he had been home; there was no answer.
I found myself sneaking a cherry blond girl, who lived in her car, in a room that was just given to me. Knowing the blond drama queen would probably have a heart attack knowing someone else was living in his house. I didn't see what the big deal was, there were a couple extra rooms, he has more people to help with rent, and bring in more friends. Although I knew a little bit about this Luke character, I wasn't for sure on if anything I heard was true, there were so many rumors, I just kind of ignored them all, shit it didn't happen to me, why should I care?
The Cameron chick looked a bit nervous as she sat on the edge of my mattress. It was really awkward in the room, so I decided to head outside for a bit. "I'm going out for a smoke, I'll be back." I say searching the side table next to my mattress for the half empty pack of cigarette I had left. I heard the mattress shuffle and I see Cameron almost hovering over me. I turn my head almost like an owl to meet eye contact with her as I pull out two cigarettes. "What? You want to smoke too?" I ask turning on my heels and holding a cigarette in between my index and middle finger. She slightly pushed back my hand, and I let the extra cigarette fall to the floor with the other in between my lips.
"I don't smoke." She speaks out as I walk past her to grab the lighter that had been lying on the floor next to my work shoes. Everywhere I walked, I could feel her eyes on me, I felt a bit uncomfortable but, it was whatever. "You know, smoking isn't attractive." She says with a slight giggle following. I make my way to the door but turn around to reply to her comment. "You just sit pretty up here, while I go out and worry about being attractive," I look down and chuckle, "while I smoke." With that I walk out the door, but jerking back when I saw Michael walking down the hall.
"Oh, hey Calum." He says with a warming grin on his face. He looked a bit different, his cheeks were a bit rosy. "Ah I feel like shit." He mumbled under his breath before leaning up against the wall to hold his balance. I wonder if I should tell him about Cameron, it wasn't so bad, she would just be staying here until she gets enough money for a new car to live in, or pay rent somewhere else. "Listen Michael, I need to show you something. But before you say anything, let whatever in behind door number one explain." He tilted his head in confusing, but then he sighed shaking his head, letting it fall into his hand.

I had finally gotten out of my late night class, and I had been extremely tired. I went out to my car hoping I would see Luke sitting by the fountain, but instead I saw a group of people replacing the spot I would always pick him up from. I searched the area for Luke when I heard someone call out my name. I turn hoping to see Luke, but it was some kid from my film class. "Oh, hey Tyler." I say, standing still until he fully made his way to me. "Forgot to give this to you." He says handing me the Polaroids we had taken in class for casting. There were two picture, one with the whole class and another with me and him practicing our scene we were assigned. I took a good look at the photos and chuckle, "Thanks." From behind Tyler I saw a familiar individual, it was Luke. I grin his way and wave, of course he just kept that same blank face and lifted two fingers, what a weak hello.
I noticed both Luke and Tyler's facial expressions as Luke stood right next to him. The tension almost suffocated me, Tyler looked disgusted and Luke's eyes were almost the size of an owls eye. "I'm ready." Luke says, sounding a bit demanding. He grabbed my bicep and pulled me away, "Bye Tyler." I stutter awkwardly, why the hell was I being dragged away?
