Eren x Levi (Ereri) - One Shot

~~The Shopping Trip~~

Eren's POV:

It's Monday, which means it's our weekly shopping day. However, I first had to get through the work day. Just two more hours... That shouldn't be too hard. I thought to myself as stared at the clock on my desk that read 3pm. I work in an office and type up anything that is handed to me by the boss, or Jean, who is just too lazy to type it up himself. I've been working here since I turned 20, so for about a year and a half now. It's not my dream job, but it financially supports me and Levi.  Ah... Levi... He is basically what gets me through these days. People say our age difference is disgusting, because it's 19 years...  But other people's opinions don't matter to me. Levi works in a little cafe that isn't too far from my work. It makes it easier that we work the same shifts too, so we often meet before going shopping. My lovely thoughts were interrupted by the one and only horseface, Jean Kirstein.

"Hey, Jaeger..." Jean greeted, probably going to ask me to do his paper work, or laugh at me about something.

"What is it now, Jean?" I sigh, not removing my eyes from the screen as I typed, until I noticed a chair was pulled up next to me.

"You're gay, right?" He asks, with a serious tone.

"Uhh...  Yeah, why?" I reply, feeling really confused that he hasn't laughed at me yet, but returning back to my work.

"How did you tell Levi that you liked him?" Jean asked with his chin in his hand, resting his elbow on my desk.

"Well, I just asked to meet him one day and explained my feelings towards him...  Why are you asking this anyway?" I questioned with slight annoyance in my voice.

"You know Marco, right? The one over there..." He points to a male about halfway down the room with freckles neatly placed over his skin "I like him, but I just don't know how to tell him."

"Just straight up tell him, I'm sure he'll reject you in a nice way." I say the last sentence with sarcasm as I chuckle while continuing my work.

"See you all tomorrow!" I call out to those left in the office as I pulled my coat over my shoulders and lifted my bag from the floor. Finally... I thought to myself as I was leaving the building. I felt a huge, freezing gust of wind hit me just as I stepped outside. It's early December, so it's getting pretty cold. I breathed onto my hands in an attempt to warm them up as I made my way down the busy foot path and waited outside Levi's cafe. Ten more minutes... I must have got here early. I pull out my phone and play some games on it to pass the time. Before I new it, my short-ass boyfriend was standing in front of me, waiting to go shopping.

"Well? Are we going shopping or not?" He asked in his usual monotone voice. I nodded my head and slipped my phone into my coat pocket as we waded through the crowds to get to the store.

Once we reached the store, I got a cart and started our weekly shop. First, we reached the fruit and vegetables. I was looking at carrots when Levi came up to me holding a Beetroot.

"You make my heart skip a beet..." He says before bursting out in laughter. I chuckle a little as I move to the fruit.

"Hey, Eren!" Levi called out from a little further down the aisle, causing me to look over at him, "I find you very... Appeeling..." He said, while standing there holding a banana and trying to hold back his laugh. I shake my head while grinning, picking groceries up along the way.

I was about to pick up a box of tea bags when the shorter male grabbed the box before me. I looked up at him with disbelief on my face.

"Please don't say it..." I insist.

"....I'm a tea-rex..." He whispered while holding the box. I sighed and took the box from him and dropped it in the cart.

I was reaching for some tomato ketchup, expecting Levi to say some god awful pun, but there was silence.

"You're not going to say anything?" I ask as I got used to his jokes already. The ravenette looked at me with his usual deadpan face and rolled his eyes while turning around.

"You know, Eren..." He started.

"Yes?" I ask in response.

"We should ketchup with some of our old friends."

"Levi, shut up." I say, starting to get bored of his jokes.

"Tch. Eren, don't be upsetti have some spaghetti." He mumbles as he puts a packet of spaghetti in the cart.

"What do we need from the cool section, Levi?" Completely ignoring the question, he placed more shopping in the cart.

"Don't go bacon my heart, Eren..." He says looking at me with puppy eyes.  I completely ignored the other male for the rest of the shopping trip, even at the checkout. Once we had paid, we exited the store and headed towards my car that was in the car park. We put all the bags in the car and got in ourselves to go home. Before turning the key to start the engine, I turned to face him.

"What's gotten into you today?" I ask, slightly annoyed with today.

"I'm just in a punny mood... Okay, that's the last one. Sorry, Eren." He says, still trying to hide his laughter. I break into laughter and start the engine.

"Just wait until we get home." I smirk as we leave the car park.
