The Twelve Vessels

Prologue

"Are all twelve vessels ready?"

"Yes sir all containers are sealed and the vessels are ready as well."

"We are about to create the first six mages and their partners. They all know which creature will be their partner and what mage will work along side them so are you ready men!"

"Yes sir!"

All the scientist quickly went to different places of the laboratory and they began the experiment. The containers began to fill with a strange orange liquid. I could barely see out of my own container but I thought I saw a purple liquid in the animals containers. As I continued looking around I noticed the other human containers had six different shades of orange. I'm not sure if that's what I saw because I had begun to loose concessions from loss of air in the tank. When I woke up the experiment was still going and all the liquid was gone I felt a very hot breeze blowing over my entire body. I couldn't see the other vessels because for some odd reason all the glass walls were now black. I couldn't move but I felt as if I didn't I would start to burn. Suddenly the hot air had stopped and I heard the emergency alarm. The head scientist yelled. "No matter what don't stop the experiment ignore the fire we must finish this! We are this close to creating magic we can't stop now!"

I stayed calm not knowing what else to do. And soon I heard a loud explosion all the sounds of generators was gone and our containers opened. The animals and humans stepped out to find the only thing left form miles that wasn't a pile of ruble was out containers. I noticed that the animals had become mythical creatures but, one was just a mix of animals and also, I felt different. The scientists didn't tell us who would get what kind of magic but he did tell us that the six types would be, fire, water, nature, wether, light, and darkness. We didn't know who had what but we knew who are partners were so we went with our "pets" and our partner to the nearest city to get a little sleep.
Once all of us hit age 20 we stopped aging.
I am the mage of light my "pet" was is a Griffin my partner is the mage of darkness and his "pet" is the mix of animals.
