Chapter 7 - Meeting the in-laws?

Elmo's Pov

I could feel the tension in the air as we dine in the ball room. Everyone was silent its like everyone knew what is happening, even if they don't. Looking around, I see lots of people whispering around the room, they seem curious of the sudden silence. I then look at Julie's eyes, that eyes looking like fire.

--An hour before--

Julie was holding my hand as we walk towards the door to her parents house. Her hand are shaking as we try to climb up the stairs, I slowly pull her to a corner to let her know that things will be better after this evening. Even if I am not sure this evening will end well.

'You need to calm down Julie, don't let her see you all shaken up. Show the both of them how strong you are and how strong you can be. I'm not going to leave your side, I'll be always here to catch you if you fall, I promise'

I dont know if that made her assure that every step through her troubled days, I'm going to be there. The connection I feel with her is just too powerful to ignore.

She gave me an assuring smile and nodded her head.

We slowly walk towards the ball room and as the doors opened for our arrival, there stood Valerie and Sam, laughing as they dance around the dance floor. All eyes turned to us as soon as the music stop for our arrival. Julie squeeze my hand to let me know that she's fine. We made our way to Julie's perents to greet them.

'Good evening Mr and Mrs San Jose, I am Elmo Magalona, Julie's boyfriend. It's a pleasure to meet you. I have heard so much about you from my employees'

'Ah, Mr Elmo Magalona, owner of the Magalona Resort and Magalona Corporations. It's a pleasure to meet such a young and successful man like you Mr Magalona'

'The pleasure is all mine Sir. And please do address me as Elmo. I feel so old being called Mr Magalona'

'Consider it done. And I believe you would do the same to us Elmo. I hate being all so formal. Address us as, Marinda and Jonas'

'Julie, have you seen your sister yet? I bet she was looking for you' Marinda ask happily, I guess she's happy about something.

'I... I erm.. I have yet to look for her. She seems busy anyway.' Julie answered uncertainty.

'Oh well... She told me that she's going to make an announcement later. Can't wait for it'

And that's how the evening begin.

I am so sorry guys, been so pre occupied nowadays. Im having personal problems right now and it just doesn't give me any ability to think and write for this book. I might put it on hold until next week or next next week. I just need to really straighten myself forward. I'm really thankful for those who still reads this even if it has been so long.
