Liliana grabbed Pans arm.
"Peter! Peter what are you doing?" She cried.
"Dealing with these sailors! They have amap on board their ship, we need them to help us figure out where they were headed. Besides there were strong crew members on board that would come in handy to us." He cracked his fingers and then his neck and began to walk, though his words were lies. He had other reasons.
Many of the lost boys followed him, they all had similar dark expressions on their faces. All except a very small boy who stood at the back of the crowd. His hands were trembling and he looked back every few seconds as though expecting something or someone to be following him.

Liliana ran over to the boy, with open arms.
"You poor, dear boy." She tutted.
But to her surprise he shouted at her, his voice deep and angry, something he didn't seem capable of because he was so small.
"Get off!"
Liliana backed off and began to chew on her thumbnail. What strange and terrible place was this? She needed to leave! She needed to escape and take her brother with her.

Seconds after the boy had shouted, Liliana noticed he looked terrified once again. She didn't dare ask, he didn't seem at all polite. That was until she turned and saw that all of the lost boys had stopped and stared at him in horror. Pan was now in front of him. How could this of happened? How could he have moved so fast? So many thoughts rattled through her head, until a horrific one silenced them all and hit her like a bullet to the chest.
"Peter don't!" She said, but before the words could escape Pan had a knife to the boys throat.

"What made you want shout at my sister then?" He spat, his other hand grabbed the boy by the scruff of his top and lifted him off the ground.
"I..I don't like people touching me. I'm sorry." The boy stuttered, his face pouring with sweat.

"It's okay Peter, I'm not hurt. But this will hurt me. This will." Liliana shouted, trying to get the words out quick before Pan did something very bad.
Her whole body had frozen, was it the island that had made all these boys become so selfish and cruel?
Peter Pans body relaxed at the sound of Lilianas voice, he let go of the boy slowly and put away his knife.
"Listen new kid, you had better treat my sister like Royalty!" He hissed, then his voice got louder as he addressed himself to all the other lost boys. "The same goes for all of you. If anybody mistreats her again they will have me to answer to and I will not stop until you are punished."

Liliana didn't feel sadness, or guilt, or uncomfortable at his evil this time. She only felt anger. How could he do this? How could he think himself above all else?
"I don't need your help." She snarled, under her breath.
Pan didn't seem to hear her or at least pretended not to and he continued to lead the boys to the cages.

He stepped towards the captain of the ship, a tall, young man who was dressed completely in black leather.
"Hello Jones." Pan said, smoothly. "Long time no see. I must say, you look very different to the last time I saw you."
"That's Captain Jones to you." The pirate said, sitting back in his cage and looking relaxed but also weak.
"So you took your brothers position then? I suppose that you improved his crew." Pan looked around at the dirty pirates, some in cages and some tied up and lying on the floor.
Pan was somehow amused by this, Liliana couldn't see why. She just bit her lip hard, wondering how long she had really slept for.

Far far away from all this in a city called London, in a world without magic, a little girl was telling stories to her younger brothers. She played and laughed and pretended to be somebody that she called Captain Hook.
"Arr, Peter Pan! I shall avenge you for my lost hand." She cried, attacking her youngest brother Michael with her pretend hook that her Mother had carved for her, out of wood. The middle child, John who was pretending to be Peter Pan, dived out from behind the curtain and began to fight, the eldest child, Wendy.

"Yes but you can't fly, can you Hook?" John laughed, he couldn't help but giggle at Wendy as she approached him with her wooden sword and pretended to be an old man.
"What if Peter Pan was the villain?" John asked, putting down his sword and catching his breath.
"Don't be silly John, Peter Pan is the hero of the story and Captain Hook is the villain. That is how he story goes."
"But we could change it Wendy." John said.
"No! No we couldn't." Wendy crossed her arms and sat down on her bed.
Why did her brothers never take this seriously? It was her story after all.
"I believe that Peter Pan is the bravest, greatest and most heroic boy of all time."

Suddenly wind began to blow and the curtains were opened.
"What's 'at?" Michael asked, climbing onto the bed and hiding behind Wendy.
"Maybe it is Peter Pan!" Wendy clapped excitedly.
"Maybe it's Captain Hook." John frowned.

The window opened to reveal a shadow. The shadow of who, none of them could be certain. This shadow seemed to be three dimensional and its eyes glowed eerily. Wendy gulped and took a quick curtesy, the way she had been taught by her parents when she met a new guest.
"Wendy Darling?" The shadow said in a deep voice.
Wendy felt her stomach drop at the fact that he knew her name.
"Y..yes." she stuttered.
"Come with me, Pan has had his eye on you. You are perfect to be of company to his little sister."

The key words that the, the shadow had said floated around Wendy's mind as she tried to make sense of what he was talking about. Pan, little sister? What was this weird figure on about?
"I am Peter Pans shadow and you need to come with me." The shadow said impatiently.
"Peter Pans shadow?" Wendy gasped. "Oh I'd love to come but I must speak to my parents first! I'll be right back, I promise." She stepped towards the door but the shadow grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"No! You must come now." He leaped out of the window, dragging the girl with him and flew up towards the stars.
"My brothers! What about my brothers?" She screamed.
"Shut up stupid girl, Pan only wants you. Though some new Lost Boys might just be in order."

Then he swooped back and the two boys grabbed onto Wendy's feet and off the flew into the nights sky, the air hitting Wendy's face like sharp ice.
She didn't know what to think, surely she should be exited if she was going to meet Peter Pan? But something about this shadow made her feel as though her stories were a far from correct.
