Love In New York (Sebastian Stan)

Chapter 4

After lunch, Seb dropped me off at the library and then left to attend some meetings with his manager. I stayed until 9 p.m. before closing the library.  When I walked out, it was dark and cold. Even though my apartment wasn't far away, it was terrifying to be alone when it is this dark. As I walked, I heard someone running behind me. My heart sped up as I felt myself going pale thinking of the worst possible outcomes of someone chasing me.

"Katie," Sebastian said as he slowed down and grabbed my arm.

I turned around and let out a breath of relief and smiled at him.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked me and took a hold of my shoulders staring at my eyes.

I smiled trying to reassure him, "I'm okay, but may I suggest that you stop running behind people after dark?"

"I'm sorry for startling you," he said and let go of me.

"Don't worry about it, Seb," I said and started walking alongside him.

"Come on, lets go get your stuff," he said.

"My stuff?" I asked.

"Your spending the night. By the time we finish the movies, it will be around 3 a.m. plus we have to eat dinner," he said as we reached my apartment building.

We reached my apartment and I let him in, "you wait here, and I'll go get my stuff. I'll be out in a minute," I said leaving my bag on a chair.

I got some pj's and anything that I needed for my morning routine tomorrow. When I was done, I walked back to the living room to see Sebastian looking through some photo albums that were placed on one of my bookshelves.

I cleared my throat to catch his attention, which caused him to jump and drop the album on the floor. 

"Sorry, I didn't mean to look through, I just-" he tried to explain but I cut him off.

"It's okay, I don't mind," I said and bent over to pick up the album and placed it back on the shelf.

He looked at the books on the bookshelf and nodded then turning to stare at me, "you ready to go?"

"Yeah," I smiled and turned off the lights walking out the door.

I locked the door after Seb walked out and we started walking to his apartment building which took a few minutes.

Once we reached his apartment, he unlocked his door and let me in. I looked around expecting a fancy looking apartment, but it looked pretty warm and cozy.

Sebastian looked at me and smiled, "not what you expected?"

"From a famous actor, no, it's not what I expected. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice place," I said nervously.

"You can leave your stuff in the guest room," he said and led me to it. 

"Are you okay with Chinese food?" he asked me when I walked back to him.

"Are you kidding? I love Chinese," I said and he led me back to the living room where I sat down on his couch.

"Good because I ordered," he said causing me to laugh.

"I'll be right back, I'm going to get the movies," he said.

He walked to what I assumed was his bedroom. There was a knock on the door and I opened it to find a Chinese food delivery guy. I paid for the food and tipped him. Once I closed the door, I placed the food on the coffee table and sat on the couch once again as Sebastian walked to me.

He saw the food on the table and raised his eyebrow at me. "You paid for the food?" he asked in a confused tone.

I nodded, "hope you don't mind."

"I don't and thanks," he said and got some paper plates and silverware, "now lets get started."

He placed in the first movie and sat down next to me, serving me a plate when the movie started.

I sat there completely shocked, I turned to Sebastian staring at me with a dorky smile on his face.

"What the fuck," I said and wiped the tears from my face.

"Getting a little emotional, I see," he said and laughed.

"Shut up," I said laughing and shoving him almost making him fall of the couch.

"Ready for the second movie?" he asked while standing up and stretching.

"Are you even in it? Since you know, died?" I asked.

"How about we watch and see what happens?" he asked with a smirk on his face.

I nodded and waited for him to put the movie on. He walked back to the couch and sat next to me wrapping his right arm around me.

I once again sat there shocked, but this time I was sobbing.

Sebastian looked at me and smiled smugly.

I looked at him and frowned as I choked out another sob, "don't look at me like that, I was not prepared for that."

He laughed and gave me a hug which calmed me down.

"Are you ready for Civil War?" he asked when he pulled away.

I stared into his eyes as I wiped the tears from mine, "Am I going to cry again?"

"Depends on how you take it," he said and laughed.

"What time is it anyways?" I asked.

"Uhh," he pulled out his phone and checked it, "2 a.m. is that alright?"

"Yeah, just put the movie in," I said anxiously rushing him.

"Okay Ms. Bossy," he said and put the movie in.

"Shut up," I giggled when he sat back down next me once again wrapping his arm around me.

"Are you kidding me with this movie right now?" I basically screamed.

Seb laughed and stared at me. I froze noticing how close we were to each other. I looked from his beautiful blue eyes down to his lips and back to his eyes. I leaned forward closing my eyes and connected our lips.

My eyes shot open when I realized what was happening. I pulled away quickly and stared at Sebastian, when he didn't say anything I stood up and walked to the guest bedroom, quickly gathering my stuff.

I practically ran through the living room and opened the door walking out of the apartment.

"Katie! Where are you going?" I heard Sebastian call behind me but I ignored him and ran to my apartment feeling totally embarrassed at 4 a.m.

How did I get myself into this situation?
