She's staring at him,he can feel her gaze on him. He is so tempted to look up and gaze into those would be eyes but he knows if he does that would be his end. That's what she wants, for him to look up and get lost in her. She thinks she could wait for him to look up so her cold soul could thrive on turning him into granite. Making him stone like her heart.
He's been here before though. He's dealt with Medusa's spawn before. A smirk crawls up his face, rests on his mouth as his eyes glaze over. He raises his katana and in a Swift thrust dismembers the head of this vile creature from it's body.
Now he can look at her. The smirk blooms into a full blown smile as he watches her body slump to the ground, the neck giving a few final rapid spurts of blood.
"Hmmm...it's red?! Expected some green gooey stuff, but anyway" he thinks
He steps over the body that somehow remained on it's knees despite the natural spasms to cling to life that would have raked her body.
Her head is turned away from him a few feet away. He walks towards it, picks it up and feels for her eyes.
"Still open...better shut them before rigor mortis sets in. "

Only after they are closed does he turn her face towards him. All but harmless now. He stares at the Ebony face streaked with tears and cold with death. He remembers the temptress she had been, the radiance bouncing in rays off her glorious chocolate skin only a few minutes ago.
He bags the head, and walks off not a glance back at the still woman he leaves dead in the street. But why would he? He has his prize in hand for display ona pedestal in his home. He is a hero, just like Hercules he just slain a monster. He just slay Medusa all on his own...
