Her Life Pt.1

[Feb, 24 2010]

I woke up because of the woman silently crying while caressing my hair, it was my mom. 
I composed myself and tried to be strong for my mom. I don't want her to see that i'm in pain because that would worsened the situation. So then, I hugged her to stop her from crying, "Mom, it's okay, everything will be fine. Dad would go home eventually." I said. 

She hugged me even tightier and said, "He wants divorce, love." And just like that, I broke into tears, my family is falling apart.  How fucked up right? "But how? Why?..." I said. "I'm sorry baby, for what happened to our family..." My mother said. " Please understand your father. This is for the best.  I'm sorry baby."

 I can't even grasp everything that's happening to us, and they would expect me to understand this shit? How can i do that? How can I watch my parents part their ways and still understand that this is for the best?

She cried after hugging me so tight that night. But months passed, everything changed. It was hell for me. 

My mom was busy working her ass off for me. I had no one. No one to help me cope from this painful experience. I had no one, but myself. I had to deal with the thoughts of me being not enough and being a burden to the family. Days of not being able to see my worth went through and the only way to live was to repressed all the pain. I had to accept the fact the everybody leaves. 

Not until, I lived with my Grandmother. The best thing my mom did was left me with my Granny. She gave me comfort, love and most importantly she gave me home. She made me believe that someone out there will always try to be with you. 

Thank the other universe for her. 

[2013]

ARC

Kakarating ko lang sa room and hinanap ko agad si Ash. 5 mins nalang dadating na yung prof wala pa siya.

At that moment, i knew something or someone pissed her off kaya wala pa siya dito. I immediately run to her hideout to check her out. And I was right, she's there but not alone. She's with Zeke.  

Nakikita ko yung  weakness na mayroon si Ash whenever she's with him. I decided to leave and wait for her instead.

ASH

After class, nagmadali agad ako sa locker ko para ilagay yung mga handouts ko.
I almost forgot that today is Granny's 65th birthday, and i wouldn't even dare to miss it. 

"You're ready?" I said to Archi before going out of the classroom. He nodded. Kasama nga pala siya sa dinner mamaya. He's close to granny since lagi siyang nanggugulo sa bahay namin.
So basically, parang apo na din turing ni Granny kay Archi.

"Okay, let's go. We have to buy some stuff for Granny's birthday okay? " I said while smiling. 

"Its good to see you smile Ash." I looked at Archi and smiled again. We were almost at the parking when some familiar voice called out my name. 

"Lei!" He said. I immediately turned around and saw Zeke running towards us, "I thought we're going out today?" He said. Deep inside I ant to immediately get a surgery for my memory loss, fuck myself. But then I said, "Okay, I forgot, tomorrow 5pm. Wait outside." I smirked at him and hopped in and just sarcastically waved at him. 

Nagpunta agad kame sa deparment section. And I saw a beautiful white lace dress that would perfectly fit Granny. My granny is such a beautiful woman inside out that's why I really love to dress her up. Siguro sakanya nagmana si Mom.

I bought the dress and dumiretso na kame sa Conti's para bilhin yung favorite ni Granny na Almond Choco Sans Rival.

After buying the cake, we went to the resto. I saw my Granny waiting for us inside. I waved my hand to caught her attention but she's too busy drinking something like a medicine? I don't know maybe her maintenance. Pumasok agad kame ni Archi sa resto. 

"Hi Granny." I kissed her on the cheeks and gave her my present. "Happy 18th birthday! I hope you like my present" I laughed. "Thank you my baby." She smiled. "Happy birthday Granny." Archi did the same thing. We ate a lot of foods because Granny heard my tummy screaming for war inside and so as Archi's, lol. 

Everything went well that day. Hinatid kame ni Archi sa bahay so that Granny could rest. Nagpunta ako sa kwarto niya after kong magpalit ng pantulog. I stared at my Granny's face. "I really love this woman" I said to myself then hugged her tight. 

"My Ashelia, do you want to sleep with me here baby?" I nodded. She caressed my hair just like how mom did i but this time it felt safe. "Alam mo apo, sobrang maikli lang ang buhay natin. Lagi ko namang pinapaalala sayo na wag kang nang magtanim ng galit sa magulang mo. " Here she is again. Lecturing a life-lesson.

"Walang mabibigay na maganda sayo yung pagtatanim ng galit anak. I know someday, mas aangat yung pagmamahal mo kesa sa sakit na nararamdaman mo. "
Granny kissed my forehead.
" I love you so much apo, pag wala na ko. Ingatan mong mabuti yung sarili mo. Alam kong napaka-tibay mo na."
I looked at Granny, " Don't say that Granny, mas hahaba pa buhay mo dahil mahal na mahal mo ako kahit ang sama sama ng ugali ko Granny." She pinched my cheeks.
" Baby, kahit ano pang gawin mo o ugali mo. Mamahalin pa din kita kase apo kita. Sige na matulog ka na."

I don't know why but i saw granny's tears. Mahal na mahal niya talaga ko, and so am i.

Gumising ako ng maaga kase ipaghahanda ko ng breakfast si Granny.
I cooked once in a while.
After cooking, bumalik ako agad sa kwarto ni Granny.
She looked pale. May sakit ba si Granny?
I touched her forehead. It's kinda cold.
Kinabahan na ko. I tried waking her up.
"Hey granny wake up."
"Granny please wake up."
I am trembling. I moved closer to hear her breath but i can't hear anything.
Tears are falling in my eyes.
No, this can't be.
Di ko kaya. Di ko pa kaya.
I tried waking Granny up again.
"Granny please wake up, please granny. "
I heard someone open the gate, i know its Archi.

"ARCHILE PLEASE HELP!!!!!"
