Her Acceptance

ASH

It's been 3 months since Granny died. I've been confined to the hospital for a couple of weeks because of fatigue and stress.
It's really hard to accept the fact that the most precious woman in your life was gone now.
And you're still not ready to even think about it.
Ni hindi ko pa nga nabibigay lahat ng regalo ko kay Granny eh.
I want to work hard in the future for her, but now she's gone.
How am i gonna face life? :(

It's hard. So hard.
I get up on my bed and prepared my clothes.
I need to attend my summer class.
I forgot to tell you that I didn't have the chance to attend my class these past few months because I mourned.

"Miss Ash, andito na po si Sir Arc." Manang Chena said.
"Okay i'm coming." I said and hurriedly pick up my bag and my sandwich.
He's with me while I'm mourning. That's why he needs to attend summer classes too.
You know guys we need to graduate.

"You okay? You eat your breakfast?" He said while opening the door of the car for me.
"Here's my breakfast." I replied then bite my sandwich.
"Hey that's not a breakfast. Eat rice okay?" He's annoyed.
"Okay fine, calm down. We're late. "

While we're peacefully listening to the song on the radio, i asked myself.

"Am I really okay?"
"Natanggap ko na ba na wala na si Granny?"
"Can i fight this war alone?"
"Can i survive?"

My thoughts are killing me seriously. Thank God, Arc is always here.

ARC

I know she's really not okay. She's still sensitive when it comes to Granny.
That's why i'm putting a lot of effort just to make her feel that she's not alone.
That I am here.
That there's nothing to be afraid of because she will never be alone.
That she needs to accept that Granny's gone.

Our ethics class just ended and we need to hurry because it's 2pm in the afternoon and Ash is still not eating breakfast, even lunch.
This stubborn girl is really something.

"Ashelia, hurry up okay? You didn't even eat earlier."
"You over reacting. I ate sandwich right?" She replied.
"You mean a piece of bread loaf is your breakfast and lunch? Seriously?"
"Yes. I am not even hungry." She insist.
Then i heard an angry tummy.

"OH YES, YOU'RE NOT HUNGRY." I teased her.
