Chapter 21: Cure

Allison's P.O.V.

Xander, upon seeing me, let out some muffled sounds. His mouth was taped shut. The guards pushed him towards me. His body was bruised and bloody, his clothes battered. The sick feeling in my stomach was becoming stronger.

Once the guards let go of him and unlocked the chains on my hands, Xander pulled me into a big hug.

"Everything's going to be ok," I whispered in his ear. He of course couldn't respond. "I'll get you out of this."

I pulled away from him and tried to gather myself so I wouldn't break in front of Damon. I kept my eyes away from my mom's crumpled body on the floor. "What do you want, Damon?"

He laughed. "That's your weakness. You have too much humanity. It makes you weak."

"Just tell me what you want." I spat.

"Fine, fine," He smirked. "Darin-"

"Don't." I snapped. "He's not getting into this."

Damon's eyes glinted, the smirk becoming more and more confident. "It's much too late for that, sweetie. He's already involved, I'm afraid. Lucas saw me in the woods, and I'm sure he's ran off and told Darin already. Which means they should be here by now."

I wish I could slap Darin. And Luke. I'm an vampire, I can take care of myself. "Maybe." I said carefully, as if I wasn't certain.

"Anyways, back to what I want. I hate all of you. I want you all to die. But you're all vampires so it's hard to murder all of you," He paused, watching my expression. "I want you, to become human again."

I tried to hide my shock. "That's impossible. Looper is the person who had potions that could do such things, and it burned to the ground."

"You are correct. Let me continue. I'm sure you know a man with the last name Banner."

I nodded.

"Well, he's alive. And when he fled Looper's, he took some of the potions with him. One of those happens to be the humanity one."

"How do you know all of these?" I asked.

"I've got a million men working for me, princess. Not just the ones you killed. Besides, Banner is an old friend. I want you to get me that potion from him, then I want you to take it."

"I don't understand. Why don't you just get it yourself?" I frowned.

"I've already tried. He wants to sell it for a fortune. For some reason, he likes you. I want you to find him and trick him into giving it to you." He explained.

"And then what?" I wondered.

"Well Lucas, Darin, and you have proven that you can easily take on me and all my men. So, I'll kill you while you're human. You won't be able to fight back. And when Luke and Darin are heart broken and vulnerable, I'll kill them too." He smiled.

"You could easily kill all of us." I retorted.

"But that's no fun, Allison," He pouted. "It'll be so much more entertaining this way. You have to betray your loved ones, which I know is going to kill you. Darin and Luke will be tortured without you. I'm basically using all of your weaknesses against you. It's perfect."

"And why would I help you kill two of the most important people in my life?" I snapped.

"Because you don't want to be responsible for poor, little human Xander getting his neck snapped. Why pathetic human life means so much to you, I'll never know."
