We had all sat down and they had done the trial already. Turns out Chance was a dealer. He was caught twice before the incident back at his house, but mamaged to escape. He was a wanted suspect for muder also, and thats why im here. It was time for the judge to declare him.

I glanced over at him for a few seconds, seeing him with his head down, hands placed in front of him. I squeezed my hands tight and waited. 'I hereby declare victim and suspect, Chance Halliday..' he quickly scanned the crowd before him. I saw him flick his eyes towards a man with a hood on. I squinted to see him mouth the words 'Guilty.' The judge raised his mallott and scowled like he was about to regret something.

'Guilty.' He slammed, making me flinch. Roars were heard all over the court room.

I swapped my gaze from the judge to the hooded man in the jury chairs. He had a wide smirk on his face, making my blood boil. I looked back over to Chance who was being cuffed and pushed towards a pair of wooden doors. I shook my head, jumping over the barrier.

'Chance!!' i screamed running toward him. Guards managed to grab me tightly on the arms , preventing me from reaching. Chance spun on his heels and looked up at me, officers trying their best to pull him away. He dashed forward, reaching me and prying the guards off me.

'I'll see you soon..' He whispered being tugged back. I watched helplessly as he was pulled away again. 'No! Chance!' I yelped feeling my tears build up.

'You cant leave me!' I yelled at the top of my lungs. Tears rippling down my face. One of the guards tugged me back,  hurting my shoulder. I yelped in pain and Chances eyes found mine again. 'Dont touch her!!' He yelled punching the guards square in the teeth. I hugged him tight not wanting to let go. 'Go home, i'll call you soon. Im in more trouble than i have to be.' He said caressing my face. 'But Chance, the guy in the hoo-' He cut me off talking. 'I know, i'll explain everything later. Im sorry.' I squinted, wiping my tears.

'I love you..' he said, finally obeying the officers. My heart pounded and i saw him leave the court room. A few beady eyes were on me, i just grabbed my bag and spat on the guards Chance had knocked out. I walked out, seeing the guy with the hoodie against the wall. I jogged over to him and frowned. 'You have something to do with this. Who are you?' I asked frustrated. He smirked, looking down. I didnt bother trying to look at his face.

'Oh honey, you already know who i am.' He said walking away. I stood there, thinking about that voice over and over again. It was familiar,  i just couldnt pick it up. I ran after him as he scurried through the crowd. I exited the building, seeing a white piece of paper stuck between the window wipers of my car. I furrowed my eyebrows and picked it up, scanning it with my eyes.

"Im closer to you than you think."

I gulped down my fear and it rose back up. I turned it over, seeing another sentence. I read it out loud this time.

"Lets play a little game, shall we?"
