'Hazel, where's my breakfast?' A call came from the living room.

'Piss off Jimmy!' I yelled back.

'Aww that's no way to speak to your brother's mate.'

You see in the part of town we lived in the views on women hadn't changed. They still believed we should be in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant and most of the time I was, excluding the pregnant part of course. I was making a full English for three lads who could really eat and they expected it to be done in 10 minutes.

Cameron was already irritating me and we hadn't even set off for school yet. He was only about an inch or two taller than me, but still taller, had blonde cropped hair and a slim figure. I knew he had muscle tone and was quite strong but it only showed slightly on his body. Most of the time he had a cheeky glint in his blue eyes but I'd witnessed a side to him that scared me enough to keep away from him when he was really pissed. I knew he'd take care of me but he still drove me absolutely crazy!

My brother had informed me that the men who took me yesterday were a bit more violent than usual but he and Ben were going to try to take care of them before they could get to me again. That's why I had Cameron to watch over me. Ben was the other male in my living room waiting for breakfast. He was the total opposite to Cameron. He was ultra built and scary looking with hard, dark brown eyes. His black curly hair was often tied behind his head or push back with a head band. He always seemed the anomaly of the group because he looked so much older, but he seemed to be the most childish at times.

You would never have guessed it but when I was younger he was just as sweet to me as my brother was. Now though I think he just did it to get food out of me.

'Yeah come on Hazel were all starving out here!' My brother shouted

I came in with three plates of food and placed them on the table. My brown hair was stuffed in a messy bun while my brother's was so short you couldn't even see the colour. His build was similar to Cameron's the only difference being his thicker arms. He had a soft features that made him look younger that he was, however tattoos covered both his arms in full sleeves. We both had large brown eyes and plump bottom lip. We would look the spit of each other if we were the same gender. I however had not developed the ability to build muscle and had thin weak arms.

At school the first person waiting at the gates for me was Jamie, my best friend. She had text me before to ask me to bring tampons because she had swimming later and only had pads left and when I got near the school she literally dived on me. Cameron gave me raised eyebrow before I rolled my eyes at him, earning me a huge grin on his part.

I watched him walk over to some of his other friends but his gaze still lingered on my. I followed Jamie to the bathroom as she talked about all the sports she had to do today and how thankful she was to me. Her name suited her perfectly. She is very sporty with an athletic figure and a six-pack but she has blonde hair always in a French braid and a really beautiful face. Just like her name she is feminine with a boyish touch.

I'd never understood what possessed people to do sport. What was the fun in losing you breath while looking like an idiot, only to be rewarded with sweat and the urge to sleep for a year? The only exercise I ever did was running and that was only because my brother forced me to do it as a precaution.

I'd just remembered that Cameron wanted a copy of my lessons for the day and I left Jamie in the bathroom to find him. I'd made a copy on the way to the girls room using a photocopier, however when I turned the corner a strong hand grabbed mine dragging me into small secluded space in the midst of long halls.

'Why were you there?' I hadn't even got chance to look at the persons face yet but I recognised the voice as Aaron.

Aaron was about four inches taller than me with a fair amount of muscle. His dull blue, nearly grey, eyes bore down on me as he had me trapped between a wall and his body. His jaw clicked impatiently. Honestly, what was wrong with him?

'I told you I d-don't know,' I stammered over the half lie with a frown on my face.

Aaron ruffled his soft brown hair before clicking his strong jaw again. 'Hazel, I need to know why you were there,' he said pointedly. I was just about to answer with another lie when a soft grip wrapped around my wrist.

'She said she doesn't know,' Cameron's voice was clear and stern before he pulled me with him down an exposed hall. Cameron's face looked very parental and when he pulled my into another small dead-end (there are too many of these things), I could tell he was about to give me a lecture.

'Don't talk to that boy, if he approaches you try to leave, if you can't or he won't let you brake his nose, got it?'

'Umm, don't you think that's a little over the top?'

'No.' He answered bluntly. 'If he wants to know why you were where you were last week it means he knows something. For all we know he could be one of the bad guys trying to gain your trust okay?'

I just nodded still thinking he was being over the top when Cameron stretched his hand out to tickle my stomach. 'Cam, stop it,' I said between giggles. He laughed heartily at me before saying, 'Just remember what I said.' After getting my schedule he strode out and back into the main hall leaving a smile on my face at how sweet he can be sometimes.
