"Have you got your shower gel?"

"Yes mom."

"Toothbrush?"

"Yes mom."

"Sunscreen?"

"For the sixtieth time, yes mom. I have everything in my bag. I made sure of it."

"Did you-"

"I did go over everything, twice. I promise mom I'm gonna be ok." I watched as her thin lips changed from ' worried mom frown' to ' I'm only looking out for you' smile.

She turned her head towards me in the passenger seat. We were about five minutes until I got to Mountain Dew Camp, it would have been longer but I finally got my mom to stop asking me to check my bag another five times before we left.

She puts her hand on my knee and squeezed it, showing her affection. "Doesn't it feel nice to finally get out of the house? I mean you've been living with me even after graduation. You need to think about taking a step forward and finding an apartment."

I scoff at her advise." Yeah, I would, except I have a mom who won't seem to let go easily even though you tell me to leave you secretly don't want me to. Just like this morning. Your the one who got me to go to this camp and yet I'm five minutes late because you kept stalling."

"I wasn't stalling, I just wanted to make sure you had everything, that's all. And don't ever blame me for not leaving again young missy." She scolded in a playful way.

The relationship between me and my mom is basically like a knot a four year old made. It's technically untangable, if that's even a word. I've been by her side ever since my dad left when I was twelve. He was a drunk and used to hurt my mom when he got home late after going out partying. Until one night my mom finally gained courage and told him to leave and move out. I was really proud of her for doing so. She's raised me by herself ever since and she's done a wonderful job, and I mean not to brag.

I was basically the school jock in high school. They called me the Tough Toosh because I was strong. I didn't do any main sport like cross country, volleyball, soccer or tennis. No. I was on the girls wrestling team. I was the top champion in that area. But give me any kind of stick, racket whatever you call them, you will see what real failure looks likes.

My mind came back to reality when I saw a sign next to the road that looked worn down. Mountain Dew Camp for girls.

I smiled instantly. I actually thanked my mom for doing this. After I read the pamphlet, I was sold in a heartbeat. It said it was near a massive lake with a waterfall. And there would be a professional chef for the cafeteria. But the main thing that really caught my eye was the names of our instructors. It said that the reason why the camp was freaking expensive, was because we will be guided by the unbelievable The Maze Runner cast. I flipped out when I read those words. The Maze Runner is my favourite movie of all time. And I kinda have a massive crush on Dylan o'Brien.

We turned into a wooded path and ended up on the other side where a few building were a lined. A few girls were playing outside. I just couldn't wait to get in there.

The car stopped and I immediately got out the car. "Hey!? Aren't you gonna give your momma a goodbye and I'll love you forever kiss?"

"If your gonna be this cheesy I wouldn't want a mouth full of cheese thank you very much." I smirked playfully at her as she gave me an unamused look. I ended up giving her one anyway before I said goodbye and she drove off.

With my bag in my hand, I strutted into the camp like a boss.

After searching for about fifteen minutes, I finally found my room. Number 6, the Butterfly Cabin. I walked in and the first thing I saw was a row of bunk beds leading through the whole room. They were covered in green duvets and white pillows. On the right I could tell was the bathroom, I heard giggles and talking coming from inside. A few girls gave me looks as if I was on crack or something. Maybe because of my T-shirt with a hamster in a cake picture on it. I don't care what they think, this shirt is legit.

I find the closest bed near the bathroom and throw my bag on the top bunk. "Excuse me? That beds taken." I heard a rather harsh toned voice come from behind as I turned around. She was tall, blonde, thin and looked like she's had a boob job, twice. I looked her up and down." Sorry, then can I take the bottom bed?" I asked as I took my bag off the top bed.

"No." Was all she said."Why? " I asked annoyed. "Because I need that bed for my makeup and clothes bags, Duh." She gave me that ' seriously' look.

"Then why not put them on the floor like normal people?" I mocked her look as I said 'normal'.

"And get filth and germs all over my stuff? Ew, no." She rolled her eyes and swatted me away with her hands like I was nothing but an annoying fly.

I shook my head as I ignored her and searched for another bed that hasn't been taken by fake wannabe snobs.
I found one close to the main door and for real this time, threw my bags onto the top bed.

As I was just about to start unpacking into the smallest beside draw I have ever seen, a man that looked the age above forty walked in." Excuse me ladies. Our first camp meeting is being held in the cafeteria in ten minutes, so finish what you are doing and head on over to the food house." He smirked at his own name for the cafeteria. He then stopped and looked serious. "Sabrina Gold, that is another campers bed not a shoe stand!" I looked over to see that he was talking to the fake blonde who couldn't care less. Sabrina Gold? Even her name sounds fake.
