Beth's POV
I rush back into camp to see the others awake, probably from the pod. I watch as Octavia walks out of a tent.
"Hey." I say to her.
"Hey, where were you? Did you see the pod?" She asks me.
I nod. "Yeah, I was just walking around when I saw it, came back here." I tell her. I promised the grounder- I promised Lincoln I wouldn't say anything to anyone about seeing him.
"Bellamy says we have to wait until first light to go where it landed." Octavia says to me. I give her a slightly confused look.
"Why? What if the grounders get to it first? What if someone's in it?" I ask her.
"I don't know. I tried to talk to Bellamy but he wouldn't listen." She says. I purse my lips together and nod.
"Okay, so I guess we wait. I don't know about you but I'm never gonna get any sleep tonight. I'm gonna go get some water." I say to her.
"I'm not gonna sleep either. Can I join you?" She asks. I nod with a smile then we both walk off to get some water.
A few hours later, Clarke and Finn walk through the gates. I walk up to Finn.
"Where were you?" I ask him. He looks at me but then looks over at Clarke then back to me. I give him a look of disbelief. "You slept with her didn't you?" I ask my best friend. "What about Raven? You know, your girlfriend." I ask about my other best friend.
"Beth!" Clarke voice pulls my attention from him. I raise my eyebrows at her. "Go with Octavia!" She says. I nod and take off after the brunette, feeling slight pain in my stomach and back.
I finally catch up with her. "Damn O, you run fast." I say to her.
She lets out a small laugh. "Come on. We have to get to Bellamy."
I nod and then we both start running, looking for her brother.
After a little bit, we see him.
"Bellamy! What are you doing?" She asks him, once we catch up to him. He turns around.
"Go back to camp." He looks from me to her. "Both of you. It isn't safe."
"You lied to everyone. You lied to me. You just want whatever's in that pod." Octavia says to him.
Bellamy shoves Octavia. I move to her and help her up, glaring at Bellamy. "Just go home!"
"You always want to play big brother, huh? Well, guess what? Jokes on me. You're just a selfish dick." She says to him. Okay, that was a little to far. He had done everything for his little sister, to make sure she has always been safe.
"I did this for you! To protect you. If the Ark finds out we're alive, they'll come down. And when they do...I'm dead." Bellamy says.
"What did you do?" I ask him, confused and quiet concerned.
"I shot him. I shot Jaha." He admits. I look at him wide eyed.
"What?" Octavia asks him.
"I found out they were sending you to Earth. I couldn't let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal. Do this, kill him, and they'd get me on the dropship. And I did it." Bellamy tells us.
"You killed the chancellor?" She asks.
"He floated our mother. He locked you up." He looks at me. "Hell, he made your own father push the button that floated your mother. He deserved it." He did have a point.
"I didn't ask you to do that." Octavia tells him, sounding as if she was about to cry.
"You're right. I made the choice. This is on me. Whatever they sent down, I'll take care of it." Bellamy says.
"I didn't ask for any of this." Octavia says and leaves. I look back at Bellamy.
"I'll go with her. You do what you need to do." I say to him. He gives me a nod and I run off after the brunette.
As Octavia and I were walking through the woods trying to find the way back to camp. Both of us hear twigs snapping. We look at each other then run faster. I end up tripping and falling in a small ditch, hitting my head. I see Octavia, laying next to me, knocked out. I look up, noticing some thing blocking the sun from my face, I see Lincoln.
"Lincoln." I say before every thing turns black.
So this is a small chapter. But next will have Flashbacks so it should be longer. So what did you think? Please comment. Thanks for reading. Bye.
